(A/N) The pacing is probably quicker than it should be, I won't lie, but a lot of scenes that have Harry's thoughts and stuff get OMITTED, and I stated many books ago as to why, so some sections will just simply be shorter, but the next few chapters I plan to be different from the books, so we'll see how that goes.

The day after Ron's departure seemed long, way longer than it honestly should have. (Y/N)'s patience with Ron was at an all-time low and it showed yesterday evening. Hermione had slept behind him with an arm over him to prevent him from sleeping alone. She hated sleeping alone and knew he had to hate it as well. When she'd gotten up, she saw he was already awake and in the kitchen, cleaning things up since they'd have to move this morning.

'Ron-' She startled herself upon a sudden realization, 'We move locations... Ron will never be able to find us again... he's gone, and he won't be coming back.' Hermione still didn't quite know how to feel about the situation of Ron leaving. She didn't hate Ron, not even in the slightest. She was almost always frustrated with him because he put in as little effort as possible, complained more than he should've, and apparently still thought she'd leave (Y/N) for him.

She could forgive the other things, but that last one, thinking she'd leave (Y/N) for him of all men was asinine. She'd never leave (Y/N) for any other man, but least of all Ron. She closed her eyes; she didn't want to talk bad about him, since most of him talking yesterday was the locket.

She opened her eyes and got out of bed, looking over to see Harry still asleep in the bunk above Ron's. She knew Harry would take it the hardest, Ron leaving, they were best mates, the first friend Harry ever had (though, that didn't always translate to the best friend he'd ever have), and she was hesitant to bring Ron up to him.

When Harry did stir awake, he didn't bring up Ron, and after a quick breakfast, they packed up everything and apparated to a windswept, heather-covered hillside. (Y/N) immediately began to apply the Protection Enchantments, and Harry and Hermione set up the tent, no one saying a word. It was like speaking anything would cause some cataclysmic event, but they couldn't put it off forever.

He and Hermione spoke when they were alone, but it was more about the two of them than the situation at large, because they deemed it best to not bring it up in casual conversation, "What do you think would be a good name for our first child?" Hermione asked him without warning.

"Uh..." he felt his cheeks burn, he was not prepared for that question, "Hermione... you-" she cut him off.

"I know how the Ambrosius Bloodline works, and I know it's hopelessly optimistic to think you and I can have more than one child live to have children of their own," she said, knowing what he was thinking, "but I say damn all of that."

He smiled at her, "I haven't given it any thought, honestly."

"I was thinking of one name in particular if it's a girl... What about Christina?" Hermione suggested.

"After my birth mother... yeah, I think that would be a great name for a girl," he said in agreement, "what about for a boy?"

"Well, I did think of one, but I don't think it's necessarily a great name for what his last name will be, but what about Samuel?" Hermione asked.

"I think it's a good name, but if you can think of a better one, let me know," he said, putting an arm around her.

"I will," Hermione smiled as she rested her head on his shoulder, "Oh... there's something I never got an answer for... why is your Patronus an Otter like mine?" She asked, pulling up from him to look at him.

The look he gave her was one Hermione couldn't read, but his words shook her to her core, "It's because something in me changed, just before our O.W.L.s... I fell in love with you... eternal, unchanging love... and that's what caused it to change. I know the Alligator is still there when I cast my Patronus, but he lets the Otter take shape."
