'GO UP TO YOUR FUCKING ROOM!'

'Isn't it obvious? This is your vault, (Y/N).'

'I'm Hermione Granger.'

'He is the Harbinger of Destruction!'

'I award Gryffindor House... One-Hundred Points.'

'No one asked for your opinion, you filthy little Mudblood!'

'There has... b-been another attack, this time it was a double attack.'

'Please... please wake up... we need you, (Y/N)... I need you...'

'If I lose her... I'm taking the World down with me...'

'You got Prefect like I did! I just knew you would.'

'(Y/N) and I... we're together now.'

'(Y/N), you are never a bother to me... never... we may have a row, and fight a bit, but... I love you, (Y/N), and I always will...'

'AVADA KEDAVRA!'

His eyes jerked open quickly; he took in sharp, deep breaths, and his chest felt like it was on fire. He went into a coughing fit as he rolled over onto his side. It was raining and he could see his reflection in a puddle on the muddy ground, visible in the moonlight. His face was dirty, his clothes muddy, his bones aching. He placed his hand on the mud and tried to push himself up, but all he did was push his hand into the mud.

It was taking everything out of him to get up onto his feet, and he had made almost no progress. With a shaky arm, he aimed his wand to the sky, "Ascendio," he was suddenly lifted off the ground, but much higher than he'd wanted. "Arresto Momentum," he said as well when he was close to the ground, landing on his feet. He looked up into the sky, but saw nothing except a few clouds, stars, and the moon. Off to the side he saw his broom, his Firebolt, and it was destroyed. He had no idea where all the pieces were, and he didn't have time to find them. Apparition was out of the question for the time being as he couldn't think straight, let alone focus on a specific point and not Splinch himself.

'AVADA KEDAVRA!'

The words echoed in his mind. Voldemort had hit him with the Killing Curse, and he still somehow survived. He began to walk, and his leg almost gave out on him. He started to limp and he caught sight of his reflection in a closed shop window; his right eye was glowing an Electric Blue color.

How he hadn't noticed it before was beyond him. But it didn't make sense, it couldn't have been Grindelwald's power alone that stopped the Killing Curse... 'Maybe Joseph Mills wasn't as successful... or maybe he purposefully didn't remove that from me entirely? Because he wants to kill me himself?' That was the most likely scenario to (Y/N), because he still absorbed the Killing Curse, but it knocked him out like it had before he practiced the ability to take the Curse and not lose consciousness.

He looked back into the window and saw that his Electric Blue Eye had dissipated. He'd never seen it appear in his eyes before, and no one's ever told him they'd seen it, so he wasn't sure just how much he'd received from his grandfather's side.

He fell to one knee, he was going to get nowhere quick with his limp. As much as it wasn't a good idea, he was just going to have to hope that he didn't Splinch himself when he apparated. He was picturing an open glade around the back side of the Burrow, about Three-Hundred feet or Ninety-one meters away on the far side of the garden the Weasley's were almost constantly de-gnoming.

He had the sudden sensation of being squeezed through a tiny tube, and found himself, in one-piece, a football field away from the Burrow. He began to hobble his way up to the Burrow, and in the window a silhouette, belonging to whom he knew not, but they disappeared and he could make out the figures of Remus, Kingsley, Arthur, and Bill rushing down to him. He fell to his knees, his hands on the dewy grass as he realized they had stopped approaching him. He then heard the distinct sound of a clunking wooden leg, Moody was coming up behind them.
