Chapter Thirty-One

"When I find out who did this to you, I will kill them." I said

"I won't stop you. Thank you, mamma, for rescuing me." He said

"You called for me. I will always hear when you call for me. I love you, mijo." I told him kissing his forehead "Get some sleep." I said

I stayed with him, until he fell asleep before teleporting to the Institute. I found Magnus and Alexander, alongside Clary heading to the basement. I followed them

"What happened?" I asked as we stood in the elevator

"We don't know." Alexander said as we stepped out of the elevator

We walked into the room and saw a dead Morgan.

"No..." Alec said as we opened the cell.

I watched Magnus spread his magic, and suddenly she gasped awake.

"What's going on?" Clary asked

"She's free of all demonic possessions." Magnus said

"Where am I?" Morgan asked

"Hey, you're okay. You're okay." Alec told her looking at us

We slowly left the room, Magnus and I waiting at the door. As we exited the Institute, Raphael called me.

"Go on ahead. I'll meet you at home." I told Magnus before picking up my phone.

"Hi, mijo." I greeted

"Hi, mamma. I wanted to tell you; I'm leaving." He said

"What? Why?" I asked at the same time as my screen.

"What, why!?" I asked

"I can't be here right now. It hurts, knowing I have no blood relatives anymore. I just need some time away. Please, understand, mamma." he said

"I understand, mijo. If you ever need anything, just call me and I'll help you." I told him

"I will, mamma. I love you." He said hanging up.

I stood there, crying. Knowing my son is leaving. I opened a portal going home.

"I can't believe you just leave. There has to be a reason." I said

"Stella, baby, what's wrong?" Alexander asked me

"Raphael...he's leaving." I said crying into his chest

"Shh. It's okay. You'll see him again. And you can call him every day to check up on him." Alec told me trying to comfort me

I wiped my face, before looking up at Alec. "Your right. I'm okay. I'll check up on him daily." I told him

He nodded, kissing my forehead before we went towards Magnus. He was looking at something. I don't know what though.

"Is everything okay?" Alec asked him

"Yeah. Everything is great. Just tidying up a bit." Magnus told us putting the box away

"Why don't you just snap your fingers?" Alec asked smiling

"Well, I find it relaxing. I suppose I'm odd that way." He said

I laughed alongside Alec.

"Darling, you have many odd qualities." I said smiling at him

He looked at me smiling, before turning to Alec.

"Is that...one of my shirts?" Magnus asked him

"Yeah... Is it... not my style?" Alec asked holding his arms out
