"Excuse me, ma'am, but do you happen to be Armin Arlert?" She said my name, alright, but who was she to call me ma'am?

"Uh- yeah, but I'm a guy," her puzzled face skimmed my information quickly.

"It says here that you're female," her polished finger pointed to the box near my name, and sure enough, underneath gender, the 'female' bubble was circled in.

"It must be a mistake, I enrolled as male," she put her finger away and started writing something down on a sheet of paper.

"Please come talk to me after school so we can try and figure this out with your parents. If you forget or you can't come after school today, then here's my email." She handed me the sheet of paper. "I'll be right in my office. Have a great first day!" She turned back towards the door and left me off with a warm smile.

This place doesn't seem too bad...

...

"Arlert, Armin?" My body shifted from the chair and I raised my hand.

"Here." My high voice rang out, even though I had been practicing over and over on my 'low voice' (which really wasn't very deep). I heard shutters of my peers, who I hadn't an idea their character, whispering about me and questioning me. Already questioning me...

"Is that a boy or a girl?" I heard one girl whisper behind me.

"I think it's a girl," I had tried to ignore them, and for a while it had worked out. I hadn't a very large care, anyways.

...

Half of the day had passed, and it was already 5th period, which was right after lunch. I fetched my gym clothes from my new locker and started heading my way to the boy's locker room.

"Hey, it's that new kid, Alert." All seemed okay for that day until a boy I had recognized from some of my previous classes chained me to the wall by his hands.

"Arlert-"

"I don't give a damn," he sure had language for a 6th grader...

"You're going to be late for gym if you don't change now," The whole gym was completely silent. Not a single person moved nor even dared to breathe. Everyone on their ways to their locker room were completely silent, and the only one who dared make a sound was my bully.

"Why is your face shaped like that?"

"I don't know?"

"It's girly!" His tanned skin had banged my head against the wall with no problem.

"I'm sorry," though he didn't speak, his arms were still latched to my shoulders as if he let go of me, he would somehow lose his life.

"You're not a real man,"

"Yes I am," though I struggled and tried, my retort failed.

"Show me." I didn't understand him at first, but then my mind swept realization and I was utterly shocked.

"What? No!"

"You have no balls," tears began to shine in my eyes, and I couldn't wipe them away for obvious reasons... Why do I have to be such a cry-baby?

"Not biologically..." as I thought it was a small thought in my mind, to my horror, I had said it aloud. And yes, this bully had heard it.

"Not biologically? I knew you had a vagina!" he began shaking my body violently. "What's next? Are you wearing a stupid tit-squisher, too? You're such a fake! You're like the Bruce Jenner of this dumb school!" My weak arms struggled to get him off of me, and though I figured it was no use, I put up a small fight.
