Start from the beginning

Chaeyoung stood by her suitcase and watched her son putting the toy in his suitcase for his sister. Her son had such a good nature that sometimes she suspected his genes had been corrupted.

"Siwoon, you will spoil your sister if you do this," Chaeyoung reminded him.

Siwoon looked at his mother then at Soyi who was about to cry again because of their mother's words. He patted her on her head again and said, "My younger sister is the best."

Chaeyoung was speechless.

Alright, she had nothing else to say.Soyi was very happy and kept following her brother around as he packed his bag. However, she became so exhausted from following him that she fell asleep on the carpet.

After Chaeyoung finished packing her bags, she stepped out of her bedroom and saw Siwoon putting a blanket over his sleeping sister.

She looked at the time. There was still an hour before Jungkook would arrive to take them to the airport. She wanted to have a good chat with her son.

Chaeyoung sat down on the sofa and gestured for her son to come over.

"You are so obedient that mommy feels like I owe you so much," Chaeyoung murmured as she hugged her son and kissed him on his forehead.

Siwoon leaned against his mother and hugged her back tightly. He then kissed her cheek, but there was a sly look in his eyes.

The person defying him and his sister was that man named Taehyung and not his mother.

"For the past few years, you have been following me as I travel around the world for work, and you have also been helping me look after your younger sister. However, mommy has not been able to give you much," Chaeyoung said regretfully as she thought about the time and effort she had put into her job for the past few years. Aside from giving them material things, she had not been able to spend much time with her children.

"I know mommy is doing all this for us," Siwoon said in a serious tone. He wanted to ask about that Taehyung person but he was afraid that his mother would get upset.

After all, his mother had said that the man named Taehyung was dead. If he asked her about it now, she would definitely get upset.

Well, he could only wait until he got to B City before finding the answer out himself.

Chaeyoung looked down at her son who was struggling to maintain a straight face and the scene piqued her curiosity. She stared at him and asked, "What is it, darling? Do you have something that you want to tell mommy?"

"No!" Siwoon quickly replied and buried his head into his mother's arms.

Chaeyoung gently patted her son's small frame and glanced at her daughter who was still in a daze as she woke up. The little girl cried out for her brother but when she turned around and saw her mother sitting on the sofa, she hurriedly crawled over to her. The little girl then squeezed her way in between her mother and brother, quickly pushing her brother aside.

Chaeyoung looked at her daughter as if to say, 'that was really overbearing of you. Your brother loves you so much.'

Siwoon just sighed and patted his sister's back softly. He had no intention of competing with his younger sister.

Soyi would be afraid every time she did not see her mother or brother when she woke up because of her physical inconvenience. It would usually take a long time to comfort her and assure her that everything was alright.

The doctor said that this was because she was unable to run or jump, and would fall asleep randomly. This made her very insecure. The doctor recommended that it would be best for Soyi to always have a relative by her side.
