Chapter 2 - Armed Intervention

Author's Note: Ayooo guys! took me some time to make chapter 2 as im now back to college and dealing with my thesis so expect the next chapters will take some time. Also I might change some stuff to the lore of encantadia slightly or add my own since the wiki still lacks the info I need so yeah if it takes a while for me to release a new chapter its because of college life or me looking up for some info or making up stuff that will at least make sense somehow lol. June 16 20XX, Quezon City, Project 4 I̶n̶t̶e̶r̶s̶e̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ Conflict Zone (10:05 A.M.)

BANG...BANG...BANG...

Loud gunshots echoed through the air as SP24 Miguel Reyes and SP21 Maria Hernandez, both police officers of the Philippine National Police, unleashed a volley of rounds from their trusty Glock 17 pistols while covering their side of the road. Taking cover behind their vehicle, they aimed their weapons at the group of individuals clad in menacing red armor. The officers' bullets tore through the air, but their hopes were shattered as they watched the projectiles ricochet harmlessly off the impervious armor. The small firearms proved futile against the formidable adversaries.

As the firefight ensued, Reyes and Hernandez couldn't help but notice the absence of the usual city bustle. The once busy streets were eerily devoid of life, save for a few scattered civilians caught in the crossfire. Fear-stricken, they scrambled for cover, their terrified expressions etched with desperation.

Realizing the potential danger faced by the innocent bystanders, Reyes and Hernandez exchanged glances of concern. They knew they had to act swiftly and decisively, not only to neutralize the threat but also to ensure the safety of the civilians caught in the chaos. With resolve in their eyes, they pressed on, determined to bring an end to the conflict and protect those who couldn't protect themselves.

Despite their relentless gunfire, the officers realized that their situation was rapidly spiraling out of control. The group of assailants seemed unfazed by the bullets striking their armor. The officers exchanged glances of disbelief as they tried to make sense of the situation.

SP21 Hernandez: "SIR! IS IT JUST ME, OR ARE OUR BULLETS NOT PENETRATING? IT LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE ALSO WEARING SOME KIND OF ANCIENT-LOOKING ARMOR..." (BANG! BANG!)

SP24 Reyes: "It does look like metal armor, but it doesn't resemble anything from the history books. Anyways, aim for their heads! It seems these guys are tough!"

Reyes took aim and fired his Glock 17 at one of the menacing figures. To his surprise, the target fell to the ground momentarily, but the astonishment quickly turned to disbelief as the fallen assailant effortlessly rose to his feet. It was clear that their bullets had little effect on the heavily armored adversaries. However, the impact of the bullets was still felt, causing Reyes to realize that while the armor was impenetrable, it did not completely nullify the force of the bullets.

As the firefight intensified, Reyes and Hernandez couldn't help but notice the commotion drawing the attention of nearby civilians. Fear and panic painted their faces as they hastily sought refuge, some taking cover behind parked cars or storefronts. The presence of innocent bystanders added an extra layer of urgency to the officers' mission, fueling their determination to protect those caught in the crossfire.

SP24 Reyes: "WHAT KIND OF FUCKING ARMOR IS THAT!? THAT DUDE WAS ABLE TO TAKE A BULLET IN THE HEAD!?? HEY HERNANDEZ, CALL FOR BACKUP! WE WON'T BE ABLE TO HANDLE THIS ON OUR OWN!"

With a renewed sense of purpose, Reyes and Hernandez continued their assault, their bullets raining down on the heavily armored assailants. The civilians' safety depended on their ability to neutralize the threat and regain control of the situation. Amidst the chaos, they pressed forward, their hearts pounding with a mixture of adrenaline and determination.
