I need to bring Y/N to one of you, Taehyung sent to Jungkook and Namjoon, Y/N's pastry box in one hand and grabbing her hand with the other after he locked up the shop.
What's wrong? I'm still doing the border check, but I can meet you at the pack house in 30 minutes. He appreciated Jungkook's offer, but he was feeling uneasy right now and wanted her to be with an alpha as soon as possible.
"Tae, can we go visit Namjoon on our way back? Is it too far out of the way?" She was looking up at him, chewing on her lip shyly.
Namjoon, can I bring her to you? He started moving in that direction before he could get an answer. If Namjoon was busy, the office would still bring him more peace than being alone and isolated in the pack house.
"Nothing's too far out of the way here, everything's one step away from each other," He jested, "We can definitely swing by. Why do you want to see him? You miss him, don't you?" Her blush was adorable. At this point he was addicted to it.
"I want to see if he's found out anything about golmul."
Yes, you can bring her here. Jungkook, continue your border check. Namjoon's reply was short, he was probably with someone or in a meeting, but Taehyung jumped at it and made Y/N move just a little bit faster.
Hanwool was agitated, Namjoon could tell, but he stood still, just silently thinking to himself. Jungkook's discovery of what looked to be a grave with a dead bird as a headstone was disconcerting, coupled with the fact Jungkook had found another dead bird near the road leading into the village, and they had found a dead bird along the border by the pond the other day.
"What do you think they are going to do?" Hanwool finally asked. Namjoon shook his head. That he didn't know. The threats, if they were threats, weren't obvious.
There was something about this that felt... symbolic, but Namjoon wasn't sure what made him think that way. They could have killed any animal, but they chose birds. It was an animal that could be easily looked over, they had not found the bird on the grave or the bird on the road even though they looked like they had been dead for days.
"Namjoon, I support you 100%, but if the village is attacked and they find out that it's because of Y/N, they will turn on you." That was something Namjoon already knew.
I need to bring Y/N to one of you, Taehyung sounded tense. Before Namjoon could respond, Jungkook was.
What's wrong? I'm still doing the border check, but I can meet you at the pack house in 30 minutes. There was silence for a minute.
"Something's going on with Taehyung, give me a minute," Namjoon said to Hanwool and he nodded politely.
Namjoon, can I bring her to you?
Yes, you can bring her here. Jungkook, continue your border check.
"He's bringing Y/N here," Namjoon informed the head guard.
"Is everything alright?" Hanwool's posture was open and sympathetic. He was always genuine, and Namjoon appreciated that. If Yoongi was his right-hand man, Hanwool was on his left, right behind him and backing him up. In a village that didn't like him, he always felt supported by him. He was blunt and pushed back when Namjoon needed it.
"I don't know, Tae didn't say. It always seems like it's one thing or another. We're not mated yet and I can't seem to relax, I'm always worried about her! I wish I could just keep her in my pocket." Namjoon tried to laugh, but it came out strained and fake to his ears.
"Being mate-less, I can't say I fully understand," He shrugged good naturedly, his eyes sparkling, "But I think things will settle down and you already have good mates that will help you take care of her."
