Minji x Reader: Haven

The door hinge creaked as you trudged through the door
"What's up bro!" Your girlfriend shouted from her room, her teasing tone not lost upon you, but to be honest, you were too tired to reciprocate
"Honey? Are you there?" Her voice rang through once again, this time laced with a little concern. You would always tease back, so when you didn't, she knew something was up
"Honey?" She asked again, running out of her room to see you, disheveled and soaked, hair a mess as you looked defeated.
As she ran to your side, you could feel tears slowly trickling down your face, prompting Minji to quickly bring you to the couch, comforting you
"I'm gonna go get you a change of clothes alright?" She lightly whispered to you, as she ran to your room, grabbing a set of comfy pajamas and towel, giving it to you to change into. As soon as you changed into the clothes, you saw a sight that finally elicited a smile on your face.
Your girlfriend lying on the couch, one hand holding open a blanket, inviting you to lay by her side, with her box of snacks lying next to her.

You quickly jumped into the blanket, and you immediately felt Minji's arms wrap around you, the big spoon as she held you in her protective grasp.
"Do you want to talk about it?" She whispered into your ear, as you slowly shook your head. You had enough of work and other people.
For now, you just wanted to be with your loving girlfriend.
Nodding in response, Minji whispered, "Ratatouille?"
Once again, your eyes lit up in enthusiasm as you looked up at Minji and nodding, Minji chuckling at your child like demeanour and puppy dog eyes. Minji wasn't sure why you liked that rat, but you did, so Minji liked that rat
As the two of you watched the rat and the guy cook, Minji didn't stop shovelling your favourite snacks into your face, not that you were complaining though. Minji was basically babying you the entire movie, and making sure you felt happy.

Feeling a little thirsty, you tried to wiggle out of Minji's grasp, only to be met with a mewl and a firmer grip on you.
Turning to face her, you lightly kissed her on the nose, causing her to blush and turn away, not lightening her grip though
"Jagi, I'm just getting a glass of water." You explained as she shook her head, puffing her cheeks up in mock defiance
"You can't go until you're feeling better." She said, leaning up to kiss you
"I am feeling better, Bro." You said teasingly, as Minji chuckled, rolling her eyes before allowing her hands to loosen around me
Getting to the kitchen, you grabbed a glass of water, before opening the freezer, opening the object of Minji's dreams

"You know I was supposed to save this pint for a special occasion right? My mom bought this for me on her trip to Germany." Minji lamented
"Still eating it Bro." You teased, reaching over to the pint as she quickly pulled it out of reach for you, a defiant glint in her eyes
"Fine, none for you Bro." She stuck her tongue out, scarfing the ice cream down.
You immediately frown, your face going back to the way it was when you came back, as Minji's playful smile immediately drops into a worried look
"No, No, I'm just joking Honey, you can have all the ice cream, don't be sad alright?" She offered, extending the pint out, as you immediately grabbed the pint, chuckling like an evil villain
"You little shit..." She groaned, pouting.
"Your little shit." You clarified
"Whatever bro." She said, rolling her eyes
Scooping some ice cream for her, you extended the hand out
"Peace?"
She crossed her arms, turning away as she pouted
"You know you want it" You said teasingly, waving the spoon in front of her mouth, as she stared at you for a moment, before pouncing at the spoon
"I love you, Minji-ah, thank you for this."
"No problem bro."
"What did I say about romantic moments Minji..."
"I love you bro."
"Kim Minji, I swear I will finish this pint myself."
"I love you too Honey."

"Better." You smiled, pulling Minji towards you as you booted up the next movie. You were uncertain what you did to deserve Minji. But you weren't going to question it. She was your angel, your lover, your protector, your safe haven.
