𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟔

"Luna, would you be mad at me if I tell you that there's someone I know.. who's more gorgeous than you?" Parang tangang kausap ko sa buwan at napatawa pa ng maliit dahil naalala ko na naman siya.

Siya naman lagi.

"Her eyes is beautiful as the stars, that's why I love staring at it. She's always looking so gorgeous Luna, she made me feel things that I shouldn't have feeling. I know it's wrong but it feels so right." Naiiling na turan ko pa.

"How I wish she'll be the brightest star who's going to be with me in my darkest night." I bitterly smile and took a deep breath.

"The moon is bright
Giving light to my darkest night
I'm feeling so confused but it feels so right
I don't know what to do but I need her by my side
It could hardly be described,
Her cute little smiles
Or the strength of her stare
The power of her face
She made me feel safe with her tight embrace."

Bigla na lamang lumabas ang mga magkakatugmang salita na iyan sa bibig ko habang nakatingin sa buwan.

"It's good."

Mula sa buwan agad akong napatingin sa taong nasa gilid ko na pala, at nagulat ako dahil hindi ko inaasahan na gising pa siya.

"Ma'am Zane.." Turan ko habang nakatingin sa maganda niyang mukha.

Siya pa lang iniisip ko mula pa kanina e tapos andito na naman siya sa tabi ko.

Umupo na siya at sumulyap sakin bago tumingala sa langit.

"It's amazing how you can make a poem just by looking at something or someone, do you often do that?" She ask while still looking at the sky while I'm staring at her side face.

Nakuha niya na naman atensyon ko, pasensya ka na Luna.

"Nakasanayan ko noong high school pa ako pero hininto ko din, kaya ngayon na lang ulit." Sagot ko at tumingala na ulit sa langit.

Hindi ko siya pwedeng titigan lang.

"Can I ask why?" She asked but I just shrugged.

"Naging busy lang." Sagot ko at nakita ko sa gilid ng mata ko na tumingin siya saglit sa akin bago ito ibinalik sa langit at saka tumango.

"Who's the girl in your poem? Who is she?" Tanong niyang muli ngunit nanatili lamang akong nakatingin sa langit.

Alam ko nang tatanungin niya yan.

"Monteverde.." Tawag niya sa mahinang tono. "Why do you want her to be your star?" Tanong niyang muli at sa pagkakataon ngayon ay napalingon na ako sakaniya.

She heard everything?

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to heard everything. I just don't want to disturb you." Dugtong niya na tila ba narinig yung tanong ko sa isip.

"I'm like the moon, the darkness is always surrounding me. I can't find the way out of it, it's always hunting me. That's why I wanted her to be my star, the only star that can light up the darkness of my world."

In fact, it's you.

"Then, can I be that star?" Tanong niya na ikinagulat ko. "So you're the moon, And I will be the star that will bring the light on your darkest times. I will help you to find the way out of the things that keeps on hunting you, I will be your only brightest star." She softly said while we're staring at each other.

My heart melted by the way she said those words, and the sincerity in her eyes.

"Being my star is not easy Aia, you can't get me out of the darkness that easily. I even myself tried to, many years have passed already but it's still here, the guilt, pain, regrets are still hunting me." Naiiling kong sagot saka ngumiti ng pilit. "Just like Luna, I'm surrounded by the darkness and even though there's a lot of stars with me they're not enough to light up my world, may kulang at hindi ko alam kung ano yun." Dugtong ko pa, tahimik lamang siyang nakikinig sa akin habang nakatingin ng deretso sa mga mata ko.
