The fear inside, i cannot run from it."
The words slipped out of my mouth. I looked up to see the eyes of doctors and counselors staring at me.

They began scribbling in their notepads. I rolled my eyes and looked back out the window.

"Grim, who is your father?" One of the doctors said. Dr. James.

I looked at the doctor. His dark hair was slicked back and his eyes stared into me. "I-I don't know."

The noise of pencil against paper filled the quiet room.

"Very well." Dr. James stood up.
He grabbed my hand and took ahold of my finger.

"How do you feel right now?"

I looked at the man. I knew what was going to happen. He's done this before.

"Please-" I began to beg.

"Who is your father?" Mr. James repeated the question.

"Sir- I-"

I began to sweat, unable to muster up any words to form sentences. My eyes flicked from the doctors face to my hand. My mouth went dry and I looked at him just as he snapped my finger.

"You son of a bitch!" I screamed.

I tried to lunge at him but he took a step back. I was cuffed to my chair that was bolted to the floor, which didn't allow me to move far. I looked to the other doctors for help but they all watched in amazement at me.

"Doctor.." one of the females whispered. "His eyes."

The anger in me was building up as I tried to get ahold of Dr. James.

"As you can see, Grim here has showed his true self." Dr. James started. "Grim was cursed at a young age by the witch who birthed him. Half demon, half human. An Unbreakable."

I snapped my finger back into place and let out a low cry. "Get away from me you, bastard!"

Dr. James chuckled. "He's a fiesty one ladies and gentleman. A real freak. His mother knew fucking a demon would be one hell of a time."

The crowd laughed as I became more and more overwhelmed with anger.

"Get out." My voice came in many different voices.

"Grim, who is your father?"

"I don't know." My coice came out normal as I cried in pain. "Sir, I don't know.." My voice came out in a small whimper.

"James.. that's enough." Another doctor said. Dr. Anna.

"We didn't get an answer, Anna." Dr. James protested.

"You done broke the poor boy's finger. You made him shift. Let him rest James."

Dr. James looked down at me and scoffed. "Pathetic."

Dr. James stormed past Dr. Anna, follwed by the other doctors and counselors.

Tears streamed from my eyes as the lone doctor approached me. She unlocked the cuffs on my hands and wiped my tears
"I'm sorry sweetie." Her voice was soft and truthful. "Let me see your finger."

My finger was sore and swollen. Dr. Anna pulled a finger splint from her small pocket on her jacket, putting it on my finger and wrapping it.

I watched her delicate, pale fingers wrap my bruised, busted index finger.
She then got up and smiled. "Dinner in an hour, hun. It's your favorite. Steak and potatoes."

"Thank you." I looked at her with no emotion.

"You're welcome Grim."

She turned and left me in my room, alone. I pulled my knees to my chest and began to cry again. All the other kids must have heard that.

Guess I won't know until dinner.
