I don't even know what I want to work on now. I'm about to just go check on my mama.

"Hey son! How've you been?" She asked me

"Couldn't be better."

"That's good. Now I have a surprise for you in a couple of days so be ready!" She grinned

"Oh snap, I wonder what you got up ya sleeve this time ma."

"You'll see." She laughed

"Okay, How you been?" I asked her

"I've been happy these last couple of days." she said

"How so?"

"Well god has woke me up, why wouldn't I be happy."

I know she being sneaky.

"Okay, well ma. I got to go, I have someone waiting on me. I'll be over here to take you to lunch tomorrow, i'm picking you up by one." I told her

"Okay, son. Love you."

"Love you too ma." I said and made my way back home to Camille, the more time I spend with this girl the more I like her.

"Kayla! I heard you back in the A?! How are you baby girl?" I asked her

"Good. Feels good to be in my own city once again."

"Well when am I going to see you?"

"You mean us? Me and my son." She laughed

"Oh shit! You was pregnant wasn't you?!" I laughed

"Yes! Anthony."

"He has Aug's Middle name?"

"He has his whole name just rearranged. Anthony August Alsina."

"Ah, okay cool! Well do you have company? If so i'll holla at you later."

"Actually India is here. I'll talk to you later."

"Alright, tell her I said hey."
I told her

"okay, i will." She said and hung up

Things has really changed for me these last couple of years. I don't sell drugs no more, I don't socialize with the people that does. I still talk to my cousin Daveontae every once in a while, I'm glad that him and India is married. She deserves to be happy and my little cousins (Their kids) I love them. I have no idea where Tyrese is. He went ghost after Kayla left him.

"Have you talked to August yet?" Briana asked me

"No." I lied

"Let me know when you do alright? Bye." She said and hung up and as if right on que August walked in the door.

"Hey baby!" I smiled

"Hey." He said

"What's wrong? I went out and got some popeyes."

"Good. I'm hungry and sleepy." He told me and made his way to the kitchen. We both heated our food up and ate in silence.

"August?" I broke the silence

"Yeah?" He asked while eating fast

"Why'd you hit me them times?" I asked curious

He stopped eating and looked up at me. "Look, i'm sorry about all that shit I done did in tha past. You just made me mad. You the only girl i've hit like that, besides I choked my ex when I blacked out."

"Who was your ex?" I asked

"This girl Briana... We had dated since we was sophmores then the beginning of senior year she told me she only wanted me for my money, she talked about my brother that's... gone and I just blacked out." He said

"Okay." I said This is the first conversation

"Since we asking questions... What draws you, a thirty year old woman to a twenty three year old?"

"To be honest, I just wanted what you had.. In your pants and pockets, but I see more. I want what beats inside your chest.. I want you, I want you to love me and make love to me."

He just sat staring and me not saying anything

"Augu-" I tried to get out before he came to my side of the table and crashed his lips onto mine. "I do love you, i'll love you." He said surprising me.

"I love you too." I gasped as he began sucking on my neck. This is going to be a LONNNG night.
