The use of the tracker wasn't needed until four days ago. It was actually a relief when we found out, the tracking device inside the diamonds was still activated. We all flew from Mayville to Nevada, thinking we finally found Blue.
When we got to the location indicated by the necklace, it was nothing but a desert. Just a huge, open, empty desert, with no surroundings or resources. The tracker shows that this is exactly where Blue is, but there isn't even a single clue that could lead to believe that she's kept here.
We've tried everything to track her down. I've got the most capable people working on finding Blue, but still... With all of that, I feel like I'm not doing enough. I feel like I'm failing her, I feel like I'm failing my kids.
My mind instantly went to the last conversation we had, just a few minutes before she was kidnapped.

Flashback...
"You know I was actually about to call you." She said after she picked up.
"You weren't, you always say that when you feel guilty about not calling first."
She let out a small chuckle. "You're right, but this time I was. I wanted to shower first."
"You done training ?" I asked as I ducked the paper airplane thrown my way.
"Sorry." Kai giggled after I gave him a glare.
"Yep, I'm done." Blue responded. "I'm meeting up with Max in a few minutes."
"The two little troublemakers not giving you a hard time ?" She asked and immidietly another paper airplane hit my chest.
"No, not at all." I lied looking at Kiara and Kai who were both laughing.
Bringing them to my office had to be the worst idea I've ever had. Kiara and Kai are mischievous, it's nothing new. But it's like they become worse when the don't have anything to do. There's neither a TV nor their toys... So they turn to mischief to get rid of their boredom. And I'm the one who has to suffer through it.
My office is filled with paper balls and paper aircrafts.. some of those papers might be important. My carpet has nail polish all over it, the sofa is filled with staples, the floor to ceiling windows are drawn with markers and crayons.. I no longer have the strength to say anything anymore, literally.
"Are you talking to mom ?" Kai asked and I nodded. "Hi mom!"
Blue chuckled. "Hi baby, you having fun ?"
"Hi mom!" Kiara also shouted also coming to my desk. "Dad taught us how to make airplanes!"
"Worst mistake of my my life." I mumbled to myself. I really shouldn't have.
The three of them continued talking until I heard Blue start her car on the other line.
"I have to drive now, talk to you later okay ?" She said and I could picture the huge infectious smile on her face.
I miss her.
"Bye mommy!" They both said getting off my lap. I heard the door knock and one of the workers came in after I said "Come in."
"The chocolate and vanilla ice cream you ordered sir." The lady said as she got inside.
"That's ours. Thank you." Kiara said excitedly as she took the small bucket from her.
I really wish it had sleeping pills inside.
