"Drink?"
"Yes Please April"
April opens her fridge and grabs out some orange juice.
"Something fresh and healthy for the road" she says with a smile.
"For the road?"
"Yep, Ross' shift should end in about half an hour and knowing you, you probably want to go see him"
Richie smiles slightly.
"Yeah..."
April sits down and passes him his drink.
"Could I ask....what happened between him and Adam? They both seemed pretty on edge at Dinner last night"
Richie looked up, then down at his food.
"It's...not my place to really go into detail, April, but uh...Ross decided not to do something he clearly really wants to because Adam was worried about it and...you know how they are"
"Neither of them are going to bring it up or talk about it or acknowledge it in the slightest because that would mean being emotional" April groans "And Ross is far too kind to do anything to stand up for himself"
"Yeah...."
"Hey, Richie. You're his best friend, he listens to you, he finds confidence from you. So...can you tell him something?" she asks "I think he'll take it from you more than me"
Richie nods as he eats, a little confused.
"Put simply, Adam is far too overprotective. He wants to make sure Ross is safe, he believes with all his heart that he must protect Ross even now. But Ross is an adult, his life cannot be dictated by the things Adam is afraid of Ross doing" she says calmly "So tell him that, tell him to stop constantly considering Adam's feelings before making a decision to do something. I trust my son with all my heart and know he wouldn't do something that he wasn't certain he could handle, if he needed help. He'd come to us"
Richie nods firmly.
"Got it."

"Okay, so you've got most of the job down by the looks of it" Ross smiles.
"Thank you for teaching me Ross." The green haired girl says quietly.
"No worries Adelaide, you caught on quick anyway so it's no issue" he peers out to see if anyone new has walked in "Oh ...Richie"
"Shall I go get his order then?" Adelaide asks.
"Oh no, I know it already, come on. I'll introduce you once we've got it!" Ross smiles.
"Is he a regular?"
Ross is already running about getting the very same shake Richie gets every time he comes down to the surf spot.
"Well, yeah, but he's my best friend" He explains "He always gets the same thing every time, usually only comes in when I'm working though. Eomeoni must've told him I got called in"
Adelaide tilts her head confused.
"Eomeoni? I'm sorry, what word is that?"
Ross glances at her.
"Oh sorry, it's Korean, means Mother. I'm a quarter Korean so I tend to speak it a bit"
"I see"
He turns around, passing her the shake.
"Here, you take it to him! I've gotta clock real quick alright?"
"As you wish"
He goes to go to the back of the store before pausing and glancing back.
