Empty Vessel

As I opened my eyes, I found myself in a daze,

Tied up and trapped, my heart filled with craze,

I could hear voices, but couldn't make out the words,

My mind racing, trying to find a way to be heard.

But then it hit me, like a bolt from the blue,

These kidnappers wanted something from me, something new,

And as they stripped me of my organs, one by one,

I felt my life slipping away, my time under the sun.

My heart, my lungs, my liver, all gone,

Taken from me, like a pawn,

My body now a shell, an empty cage,

A prisoner to the kidnapper's rage.

As I lay there, weak and alone,

My mind drifting to a place unknown,

I wondered why this happened to me,

What had I done, to deserve this agony?
