Left in the Dark

    The sudden shock of loss, it stings so deep

A friendship once held, now vanished in a sweep

No reason given, no explanation to be found

Leaving my heart and soul feeling truly unbound

A friend so dear, once held so close

Now vanished without a trace, like a wandering ghost

Our memories, laughs and cherished times

Seem now like mere echoes, frozen in time

I never knew, never expected this to come

A sudden breakup, now feeling so numb

The pain of not knowing, of being left in the dark

Tears at my heartstrings, leaving its mark

Why did you leave, why did you go

Did I do something wrong, that I should know

My mind races, searching for clues

But all I find is emptiness, with no good news

Perhaps our paths will cross once more

And we can pick up where we left before

Until then, I'll hold onto the memories we made

And hope that this heartbreak will soon fade.
