A/n pov:

Gauri came back home while all tired. Today there were lots of customers. She flopped on sofa and saw her mother who was looking extra happy today.

Gauri: maa are you okay?

Swaparna: yeah beta why?

Gauri: you Seems too much happy today

Swaparna: ohhh well

She sat besides her and took gauri's hands

Swaparna: you trust your mother right?

Gauri: yeah mom

Swaparna: so..listen.. today my long distanced friend called me suddenly and we both were talking to each other. In the middle of conversation she asked about you and told that his son also grew up and she was meaning to ask if she can send marriage proposal for you for his son..

Gauri: and what did you replied?

Swaparna: I said why not!! Her son is well settled in banglore and have handsome salary..so why don't give it a try. And you know what!! They are coming tomorrow!! Her son is with them rn.. currently he is here on holiday.

Gauri look after passing of your father..I am not able to take care of you fully...you need someone in your life who can cherish and love you..for how long you will spend your life with me, you are now grown up lady..it's time for you to start your own family

Gauri: maa please don't say like this.. nothing is more important than you for me..you are my priority

Swaparna: so you will listen to me right?

Gauri thought for a moment and replied

Gauri: okay mom.. as you say

Swaparna smiled and hugged her..

Swaparna: I knew it...you are my obedient child

She caresses her hair and gauri smiled

Next day:

Today gauri was at home while helping her mother in decoration and ordering snacks. Nitya was also took a day off and sent his brother to work on shop.

Right now gauri and nitya was in her room while nitya was teasing her

Nitya: ......he will kneel down and will pull out ring and ask will you marry me gauri...

She said while mimicking and gauri rolled her eyes

Gauri: stop watching too many romantic shows nitya..

Nitya: come on just imagine...if something like this happens with me, hayeee I'll be on cloud nine..you are getting married finally...you wil leave me now *fake cries*

Gauri: shut up nitya and now let me change

Nitya: okay okay

And with that she went inside the washroom

Time skips~

Gauri was now ready while nitya was looking at her in awe..

Nitya: oh my goodness...you are looking so pretty

Gauri's look:

Gauri: thanks

Suddenly swaparna entered and she gasped in amazement

Swaparna: my girl is looking so beautiful..

Gauri smiled and swaparna continued

Swaparna: come..they are here
Gauri nodded

Time skips~

Gauri was sitting with swaparna along with boy's family..i.e. boy's mother, boy's father and himself.

He was taking glances of gauri who was just looking down

???: Swaparna your daughter is more beautiful thank you spoke about her..

Swaparna smiled

Swaparna: this is your greatness to say this...beta nikhil what do you exactly do?

Nikhil: I'm a software engineer at Infosys

Swaparna: ohh that's nice

Rekha: swaparna honestly I really liked your daughter and I think she is perfect for my son..I officially now ask for your daughter's hand for my son

Swaparna smiled widely and replied

Swaparna: oh Rekha you don't know how much I'm happy rn...I accept this proposal..

Rekha: that's great..so let's aarange their engagement tomorrow

Swaparna: so suddenly?

Rekha: actually his vacation is getting over soon so I want him to get engaged as soon as possible

Swaparna: okay..

Rekha: don't worry...you don't have to organise too much... simple decoration will go

Swaparna: no worries

Rekha: beta go and talk with gauri..

Swaparna: gauri take nikhil outside

Gauri nodded and both came outside
Both were walking silently in the garden when nikhil was first one to broke the silence

Nikhil: you are happy with this proposal right?

Gauri: yeah..

Nikhil: I hope my family is not forcing you

Gauri: no no they are sweet..I'm happy...my mom is happy so I am

Nikhil: okay then.. trust ne gauri I'll keep you happy like this...

Gauri smiled and so nikhil without realising someone was taking their pictures continuously..
