Day 23:

"We Belong to the Zoo"

We belong to the Zoo, where animals roam, and man is the beast, with hearts made of stone.

Historical instincts, we cannot deny, our nature is primal, our reason must die.

Our attitudes of entitlement, so base, contrast the compassion of the animal race.

Our dark choices of greed, our violence and hate, stand in stark contrast to the animal's fate.

For they understand what we often forget, that we're all connected, lest we regret.

So let us remember, as we roam this land, that we're not the rulers, but part of the grand plan.

Let us learn from the animals, their ways so divine, and let love and compassion be our guiding line.
