C H A P T E R 62

"It's very easy really." I joked. "Just dissaper for the nine months of pregnancy, plus an additional three months to get your body back in shape. Then come back after that one year and pretend like nothing happened."

"I really shouldn't be impressed by this." He murmured and I chuckled.

"My dad is gonna kill me." I shaked my head in thought. An idea popped in my head and I smiled as I looked at him. "Why don't we tell him ?"

"I didn't lie to your dad, there's no we here." He smiled teasingly.

"Please Kenny, there are lesser chances of him killing me when I'm with you."

"There are more chances of him killing you when I'm with you than when I'm not." He retorted. "Your dad hates me, I killed half of his men, stole his shipments that cost millions, I'm the reason for the near downfall of his gang. You think I'll make things better ?"

He was right, I don't even what I was thinking. How am I even gonna tell my dad about everything ? Suprise!! dad this is Kiara and Kai, my four year old twins.

Funny story dad.. I have kids.

No that's not all, they're Kenneth's kids and.. I kind of hid them for the last four years

"Your right, you coming along won't make things any easier." I sighed.

It was 18:04 when we got home from the airport. Kenny immidietly left after he dropped us off because he had work to do. The only thing on my mind was the conversation I had with Kenny on the airplane, me telling my family the truth. I would tell all of them at the same time, but I can't drop the bombshell on my dad in front of everyone. I just need to deal with his reaction privately, then I can tell Max and Tina, everyone will just figure it out as time goes by.

I parked at the driveway of my dad's mansion, yes my dad's mansion. I've decided to just get this over and done with, today. It's literally now or never. I'll finally be able to be free from the burden of keeping secrets and living like a criminal just to hide my kids. I know I am a criminal, but this is not the point. The point is I feel like my heart is coming out of my chest, it's beating rapidly with myself trying to steady my breath. I can do this.

"You two stay in the car and don't get out until I tell you to, okay ?" I asked them looking at them in the backseat.

"Is this your dad's house ?" Kiara asked and I nodded.

"Yes, I'll introduce your grandfather to you.. just stay put for a minute okay ?" I arched my eyebrows at them and they replied with a yes.

They looked nervous like me, but atleast their excitement was overpowering the nerves. They couldn't contain their excitement and joy when I told them. I can't even blame them, Kiara and Kai spent their whole lives with just me in their lives, no other family. And when Kenny came by, it was like he filled a void I didn't even notice existed in their lives. As much as I thought I provided them with all the love in the world and they don't need anyone else, I just need to do the right thing.

I got out of the car and closed it, then headed to the front door. I got inside, greeting one of our workers and headed to my dad's office. I opened the door after knocking four times without a response and found his office empty.I went out the hallway and headed to the sitting room.

My heart melted as I smiled, stopping my tracks to look at the site infront of me. My dad and Max sitting on the couch, laughing together. This made me genuinely happy in a way I can't even describe.
