Tears streamed silently down her cheeks.

His heart clenched. "Mom, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?" He asked softly, his hands cupping her face as he wiped away her tears with his thumbs.

Mrs. Min sniffled, shaking her head. "Nothing, sweetheart… I just missed you so much."

Yoongi swallowed the lump in his throat before wrapping his arms around her again, hugging her even tighter. "I’m sorry, Mom. I know I haven't been a good son."

She immediately shook her head. "No, that’s not true. You’re the best son. I just… I wish you had more time for me."

"I know, Mom. I’ll try. I promise." He pulled back slightly, offering her a small, rare smile. "Now, please smile for me?"

Before she could respond, a dramatic voice interrupted them.

"Dad, I think Mom doesn’t love us anymore. She only loves Yoongi-hyung," Jungkook whined, crossing his arms and pouting like a child.

"I know, son. It seems we don’t exist anymore." Mr. Min sighed, shaking his head as if in deep sorrow.

Mrs. Min rolled her eyes, finally smiling. "You brats, I love both of you equally!"

"Oh? So that means I’m the only one left out?" Mr. Min gasped, placing a hand over his chest in a mock hurt. "Look at this, Jungkook! No one loves me!"

Jungkook dramatically wiped his imaginary tears. "Like father, like son. I feel your pain, Dad."

Mrs. Min let out an exasperated sigh. "You two… I swear."

The family burst into laughter before finally sitting down for dinner.

As they ate, Mrs. Min stole glances at her eldest son, her heart feeling a little lighter now that he was here. No matter how much time passed, Yoongi would always be her baby boy.

What no one knew, however, was that outside these four walls, Yoongi was a completely different man.

To his family, he was the loving son and caring brother—warm, affectionate, and protective. But to the rest of the world, he was cold, ruthless… a devil in disguise.

His family didn’t know the truth.

They thought he was just handling the company. They didn’t know about the dark underworld he was involved in, the bloodstained hands he kept hidden from them. He had done everything in his power to keep them safe, to keep them away from the dangers of his real world.

And because of that, he barely had time for them.

But tonight, he had chosen to be here.

As the dinner came to an end, Mrs. Min hesitated before asking, "Are you staying tonight? Or will you leave after dinner?"

Her voice was hopeful, almost pleading.

Yoongi glanced at her before smiling softly. "I’m staying tonight, Mom. And I’ll sleep with you, too."

Mrs. Min’s eyes lit up, pure happiness washing over her face. But there was one person who looked utterly betrayed.

"What?! No, darling, please!" Mr. Min whined, turning to his wife with wide eyes. "You can’t do this to me!"

Mrs. Min rolled her eyes playfully. "Don’t be dramatic, honey. He’s my son. He can sleep with me. It’s been so long since I last cuddled with my baby." She practically squealed in excitement.

Mr. Min clutched his chest. "Betrayal! Pure betrayal!"

Jungkook laughed before placing a hand on his father’s shoulder. "It’s okay, Dad. You can sleep with me."

Mr. Min sighed dramatically. "See, son? Only you truly love me. This mother-son duo has betrayed us!"

Mrs. Min shook her head in disbelief. "You two are impossible."

Just then, Mr. Min and Jungkook suddenly bolted from the dining table, running toward the stairs as if escaping for their lives.

Mrs. Min could only watch in amusement before laughing. "Idiots."

That night, as Yoongi lay in bed with his mother, he felt something he hadn’t felt in a long time—peace.

His mother’s arms wrapped around him, just like they used to when he was little. He used to cling to her all the time, refusing to let go even for a second.

Now, things were different. He had grown up. He had changed.

But as he felt his mother’s hand gently comb through his hair, as she kissed his forehead softly, he closed his eyes and let himself relax for the first time in what felt like forever.

For just one night, he allowed himself to be her little boy again.
