"Say summon and the name of your weapon! Codex Blaster, Encode Styler I don't know what your specific weapon is but I wouldn't even waste time with it right now anyway! Just focus on blasting, my AI recommended long distance anyway"
"Right, Summon Codex Blaster!" he grabs the blaster that appears in a flash of purple "What are we after right now anyway!?"
Ross glances down at his morpher.
"Hey Ai, I can talk to the others too right?"
"Correct, I can open communication"
"Do it!" He waits till the morpher beeps before he starts to talk "Everyone, listen up. We're after some mechanical signature. My AI said it had something to do with the Drainer Droids and their ever increasing numbers! Take them out and we should be able to handle them after it!"
Richie hummed.
"Wait, like a Spawner!?"
"W-What?" Ross had to stop mid fighting to question that.
"What are you talking about?" Alisha demands.
Richie chuckled.
"I just...it sounded like...like...in Minecraft! Those little cages that spawn monsters? Until you destroy it, monsters keep coming and don't stop. So that's what we're dealing with Spawners that summon Drainers, because I'm not calling them drainer droids that's so long"
"...I actually like it" Melissa agrees "So...we're destroying Spawners, sounds good to me!"
"O-Okay, let's do this then" Axel agrees.
Ross nods to Richie.
"Blast em', I'm going for my father!" he shouts "Once you've all taken out your Spawners, head our way and gang up on the Drainers!"
"Right!" the group declared.
Ross jumped up and leapt over a group of drainers, landing behind them and slashing them in their backs. Richie was frozen in shock.
"Morphing grid energy" the red ranger explained "It enhances all your physical capabilities. And your instincts too"
"Instincts?" Richie questioned, before shooting down a few Drainers.
"Abeoji calls it Ranger Instinct. An instinct that borderlines on precognition." Ross explains, he slams the hilt of his sword into a drainer and then ran the one in front of him through "It gets stronger the more you do rangering stuff from what I've heard"
Richie snickered, kicking a drainer back.
"You know, I kinda thought you had that already! Given that rock arrow thing a few months back!"
Ross chucks his sword up into the air, backflipping to avoid a hit before spin kicking a couple drainers. He grabs his sword as it falls and charged forward, slashing as many of them down as he could.
"Rich! Go ahead! Quick while there's space!"
Richie nods, running forward and blasting a few drainers away. He searches for the Spawner, hoping it was nearby. Ross meanwhile turned his focus on his father, Adam had managed to pull away from the Alien but his reaction speed was clearly diminished. He was narrowly avoiding that energy bow.
Ross inhaled sharply.
"Hey! Ugly! Leave him alone!"
The Alien ignores him basically so Ross races forward trying to get to him, but dozens of those droids get in his way. Ross growls in response, slamming away the droids and slashing them down.
