What If Ravio Was A DOPPLE?!

Okay, so I have a theory. I apologise in advance, this was a random thought I turned into a theoretical overload and this was the final product, I'm so sorry. You don't have to believe me. (All theoretical stuff in this theory is in bold)

So, in Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures, Link splits into four heroes to complete each area, who have affectionately been dubbed Red, Blue Green and Vio by fans. Obviously they are the heroes who wear the red, blue, green and purple tunics, and we all know them because of it. But in the later Downfall Timeline's Triforce Heroes, there are only three. Red, Blue and Green. Obviously, the reasoning behind this game wise is that the devs simply found the fourth player to be hard to control (two players had to control him at once) and just plain unnecessary, but lore wise? That's what I'm going to try and explain, so fasten your seatbelts, it's gonna be a wild ride. And very speculative. V E E E R Y S P E C U L A T I V E . . .

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

So let's start with a storyline. In Triforce Heroes, the Kingdom where the game takes place is called Hytopia and it's a completely separate place from Hyrule. In fact, it is in the same world as Hyrule, just quite far away. But anyway, in Hytopia, although they use the same language and writing as the Hyruleans, the culture is completely different. Their lives revolve around fashion and looking good, and their Princess, whose name is literally Styla, is the most stylish of them all. She gives speeches about fashion to her adoring citizens as her father, King Tuft, rules the kingdom and keeps everything in order. Hytopia consists of Hytopia Castle, the surrounding town, and the Drablands. The predominant race in Hytopia is the Hytopians, round-eared people who live in Hytopia Castle Town. At the beginning of the adventure, we are told that Princess Styla, the most fashionable of all, received a strange mysterious gift from an unnamed sender. The gift was apparently so beautiful she couldn't help but open it, however, because most Zelda games need a princess to save, inside were cursed tights which could not be covered up and could never be removed. A perfect outfit for a perfect princess. The tights were sent by Lady Maud, Madame Couture's estranged younger sister who was known as the Drablands Witch. Of course, these tights were the pinnacle of bad fashion and word of Styla's supposed 'curse' spread throughout the Kingdom. People started wearing unfashionable, quirky, more ordinary looking clothing in an effort to avoid being cursed, leading the King to send out a plea for Triforce Heroes, with a very strict criteria. Side parted hair, pointy ears and truly epic sideburns. Seeing as his daughter's 'curse' was sending his Kingdom literally haywire, you'd think he'd take anyone who could use a sword, but clearly not. Anyway, Link turns up in Hytopia doing something or other and Madame Couture's apprentice boy found him and took him to the noticeboard with the message on it. Link becomes the hero, kills the Drablands Witch and Princess Styla is cured! Wahoo! (I hate Princess Styla) Hytopia eventually becomes the northern part of the Kingdom of Hyrule, ruled by the King of Hyrule. Whew that was one massive lore dump. And no, I'm NOT explaining the plot of Four Swords too, this theory ain't about Four Swords!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

And now on to the actual theory! (I can hear you all sighing and shouting "FINALLY" in the background) But I mentioned earlier how there's only three heroes in Triforce Heroes, who are collectively known as the Dopples. According to the devs, only the Green Dopple is actually Link, the other two are either completely separate heroes or they're magical clones. I'm going with the first option, as it makes this theory work. Anyway, there's four heroes in Four Swords and three heroes in Triforce Heroes. There should be four. Why? Well, let me tell you. In Hytopia Castle Town there's a broken Dopple, most likely the purple hero who never made it into the game, but we aren't talking about him. We're talking... about... Ravio. Now, Ravio. I'm not going to go in deep, but I'm going to explain some of his backstory, along with Lorule's. Buckle up for another chonky lore dump!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Ravio hails from Lorule, a parallel world to Hyrule with its own goddesses and its own Triforce. It had about the same backstory as Hyrule up until the Civil War. Instead of sealing their Triforce in the Sacred Realm, Lorule's then-King chose to destroy their Triforce to end the fighting. Fast forward to the time of A Link Between Worlds (ALBW) and Lorule is crumbling. Large ravines prevent access to various areas of the Kingdom and most of the residents have gone insane. Princess Hilda, the current ruler of Lorule, had two close friends. Ravio, her childhood friend and personal knight (Or, he WAS her knight until Yuga came along...) and Yuga, a mad magician with a cool paintbrush staff thing. Yuga found a rift in Lorule's Sacred Realm that led to Hyrule, and fed ideas into Hilda's head, leading her into a crazy plot to steal Hyrule's Triforce to save her Kingdom. Ravio, sensing that this was wrong and that Yuga's betrayal was inevitable, tried to warn Hilda but she dismissed him. Ravio and Sheerow packed their bags and left for Hyrule where Rav found a boy in green passed out on the floor. Boy just so happens to be Link, who saved the world, yada, yada. Ravio turns out to be Link's alternate Lorulean counterpart, like Hilda is to Zelda or Yuga to Ganon, which, to be honest, we all saw coming, and they say their goodbyes and never see each other again. Link and Zelda wish to bring back Lorule's Triforce on their own and save Lorule as well. End of story.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The reason I'm suggesting Ravio could be the unseen purple Dopple is that the devs have confirmed Triforce Heroes Link to be the very same as ALBW Link. And also Ravio sports some very cool purple bangs under that rabbit hood of his. He also wears purple. What colour of Dopple is missing? Purple. And if the red and blue Dopples are other Heroes from different places, for example maybe Blue is from Termina or Red from... I dunno, Koholint or something, then why couldn't Purple be from Lorule. I also think this because it would be plain cool to be able to play as Ravio in an ACTUALLY CANON Zelda game. (Sorry Hyrule Warriors: Legends, I love you really!) Now I realise this theory is mostly Lore Dump and so I'm gonna put the whole uninterrupted thing under this.
