Logan's pov

"So your married then ?" My father asks as I place the marriage documents on his desk

He doubted me for a long that I would never get married he only believed Someone was capable of loving Rowan because he was the only son he loved but I proved him wrong

Taking his glasses from his head he holds them in his hand "well son I don't know what to say"

"A congratulations would be nice"

Father shakes his head "congratulations son you've done everything I asked for, everything your mother asked for"

I stare at him confused my mother ?

"Wait what do you mean?" I sit down in the chair in front of his desk waiting for an explanation

"Well you know how you were your mother's favourite and all well when she was sick she was scared you wouldn't recover and never find someone so knowing that you would one day take over the company she told me to make a will that you could only get it if you follow her rules have a child or-"

"Get married" I cut him off

My mother was in on this ?

I was very close with her when I was younger and when she got sick it broke me especially after she died I went on a spiral of not knowing what to do I eventually got some self control and then my father told me about the contract that I put off for as long as possible

"You think I wanted to keep the company for this long? I wanted to give it to you after you got your degree but I respected your mothers wishes and look at you know all ready to sign the papers" fuck my dad actually wanted me to have the company this whole time I thought it was a plan to have Rowan take over because he was the favourite

"If you don't believe me here's the letter she wrote hand written as well" he hands me over a piece of crumpled up paper which I gently open up

Skimming over the page I know for a fact this is real my mother had odd but very beautiful handwriting that nobody could mimic

I'm worried about Logan after I pass, he's always been stressed out weather about school work or me being sick so I need you to promise me that he will find someone who will pull him out of this cycle so I want to set him a task, Logan will only get the company if he is either married or has a child

Looking up at my father I see him looking down at the paper "she wanted the best for you and I see her plan has worked you've finally got someone, Cora she's a good one make sure you take care of her like I should of taken care of your mother you never know how good you had it until it's too late"

He reaches into his desk and pulls out a stack of paper

"right son it's time we get some signatures"

I'm currently anxiously waiting at soph and rowans house with the whole group on what Logan's father has said about our marriage and Logan becoming the CEO
