EP-7 (Final)

After an excruciation long period of waiting, the doctor who is in charge of Nunew's surgery came out of the room. Both Nat and Zee immediately get up from their seats as soon as they heard the footsteps coming out of the surgery room.

'' H-how's Nunew? '' Zee stammered, not really daring to ask, he's probably afraid of the bad news.

The doctor sighed.'' Luckily, we were able to save him. This is such a rare case. We thought that he won't make it. Maybe there is something or someone, he does not want to leave behind.....However, we still have to scrutinize him to see his conditions, he might not regain his consciousness soon enough.''

'' When exactly will he regain his consciousness doctor?'' Nat curiously asked ,expecting the doctor to give him an exact answer.

''It's up to him. Don't worry too much. I believe he will be awake soon'' The doctor smiled, assuring both of them.

Zee can now let out a breathe and oy feel relieved now...now that Nunew is safe and alive. Happy tears come out from his eyes, welcoming Nunew back to the world.

''Thank god for giving me a second chance. I promise I will never ever leave him again and make things right.'' Zee told himself.

It's been three days and Nunew has not waken yet. Zee stays beside Nunew and only leaves him when he has some important things to do. He is constantly taking care of Nunew, invalidating his tiredness and sleepless nights.

He would change Nunew's clothes, cleaned the room, cut Nunew's nails and slowly caress Nunew, looking dearly. He wondered when Nunew will wake up. He misses his baby so much. He misses his voice, his touch.

''Get well soon, Nu. Hia's waiting for you'' He slowly leaned towards Nunew who is lying unmoved, and softly kisses Nunew's forehead and lips.

'' I can't wait to hold your hands and spend time with you, go trips together and get married.'' He smiled at himself.

After what felt like an eternity, Nunew finally regains his consciousness. He slowly opens his eyes but gets confused for a split second. " What just happened?'' Nunew wanted to say but his voice doesn't come out. And, Nunew has not noticed Zee yet.

Zee immediately get up and give Nunew a glass of water.

"Nu''

His body becomes stiff as he heard a very familiar voice, calling his name bery softly. Of course, he knows whose voice it is. But he doesn't dare to look at the owner of that familiar voice. So, he just decided to ignore Zee.

"Nu, baby'' Zee is actually confused because of Nunew's actions, but he tried again.

After a while, a barely audible voice came out from Nunew's mouth, so soft that it is very hard to hear what he's saying. '' Who are you?'' Nunew asked Zee, his eyes focusing on his feet. This literally breaks Zee's heart into million pieces, ''Why is Nunew acting like this again'' Zee wondered.

He just wanted to avoid Zee as much as possible because there's no good for Zee if he is with him. Although this surgery can be considered a successful one, there's no guarantee that he'll be fully recovered. He doesn't want Zee to feel burden because of him.

Those negative thoughts literally take over Nunew's brain, making his eyes all watery. However, Zee is quick to notice those tears. Zee sighed. He knows Nunew too well that he realized in the first place that Nunew's just pretending to forget him.

'' Look at me Nu'' Nunew doesn't even budge.

''Please, I know you Nu, you remember me''

At this point, Nunew can't hold back his tears, he literally cries like a baby as guilt takes over him.
