"We have different preferences in men and different ways we want to live our lives." I continued. "If I'm not happy with the guy, no matter how good he treats me, then I'll leave. If I'm not getting any of the thrill and excitement I want in a relationship, then why am I even persuing the relationship ? If he doesn't make me happy then I'm not staying in the name of settling down. I'd rather have these heartbreakers chow my heart on a daily if they make me happy than settle in a loveless and unhappy marriage." I said and chuckled when Max added a "period!"

"You really can't judge anyone for having a preference really." I told her and she nodded.

"Why didn't you become a lawyer again ?" She said and the three of us laughed.

"But Kenny was a police officer, did good and yet you fell for him." Maddie added with no negativity, just curiosity.

"Well Kenny wasn't the you're-under-arrest type of policer." Max said. "He was like the boss of the whole justice system, the cherif that runs the town. Dominating, important, rich and hot."

"Even if he was, it's not about a person's occupation, it's his personality as a whole." I said sitting on the couch of the boutique. "Kenny just has that auro that grabs people's attention when he walks inside a room. This dominating and intimidating attitude, wether he's an agent or a mob leader. You just gotta be scared of him. Plus, like you said, hot and rich."

"Yeah anyone you date after him will be a downright downgrade." Max chuckled and I glared at him. "Just saying." He mumbled holding his hands in surrender.

"I guess it's all about a person's preference. Different strokes for different folks right ?" Maddie looked into the mirror with a skirt in hand. "I mean I'd ride with a good nigga every time of the day."

"Well the problem is good dick never comes from a good nigga." Max responded and they both laughed.

"That's not true." Maddie chuckled. "Maybe the good niggas you know.."

They both continued talking while I took a black dress from my top five choices and stood up to head to the fitting room, that was until I saw a movement from the mirror. I turned to look behind me but found nothing.

That's where my instincts finally kicked in. I have been feeling a sense of uneasiness ever since we got here. A feeling that I'm being watched, but now I'm sure I'm being watched. I know for a fact that this person is after me, not Maddie or Max because I was being followed even yesterday. If they're waiting for a less public place to strike, then I'll give them that.

"Hey Max which car did you come with ?"

"The Mercedes, why ?" He replied trying on some shoes.

"I'm gonna have to borrow it."

"Why ?"

"I don't have mine because we both came with Maddie's car. You two can go back with it. I need to do something real quick."

"Ohhh we can-"

"Alone."

"Blue what's going on ?" Maddie narrowed her eyebrows suspiciously and I sighed knowing very well I won't get out of this without telling the truth.

"I'm being followed."

"What ?! And you expect us to let you go alone ?!"

"I'm not expecting you, I'm telling you to." I looked at the both of them. "Max give me your car keys, the both of you should go home with Maddie's car."

"No Blue we're not-"

"Max. The keys." I interrupted Maddie who had a panicked expression. She's starting to panick now, what will happen if they strike with the both of us in a car ?

Max took out the car keys from his pocket and handed them to me. I got out of the boutique after I took the keys from him and headed to the exit. Upon my arrival at the parking lot I immidietly spotted Max's white Mercedes and got inside.

I drove out of the mall and took random turns. I was driving in circles for thirty minutes now and just as I suspected, there were two black cars following me. They took every turn, every street and every corner I took.

I took out my gun from the thigh holster and loaded it with enough bullets I found inside Max's console. I headed to an empty highway speeding up and the two cars doing the same.

This is literally a car crash waiting to happen. I thought to myself as I opened the roof of the car. I lifted my body up, head and shoulders outside as I started shooting the car behind me. I missed two times before finally shooting the wheels, causing them to diflate and the second car to catch up and be in the front.

I ducked my head when they also opened fire and started shooting my car. I focused on the driving and lowered my seat as I sped up. I got my head out of the window and started shooting at them, aiming for their tires. "Fuck." I whispered when I felt a slight sting on my arm but continued to shoot, looking between them and the road while busy ducking their bullets. After I flattened their tires I was able to speed up.

"You've got to be kidding me." I rolled my eyes as I felt the car lowering and deflating. They shot my back tires. I parked on the side of the road and they did the same, three men with guns in their hands coming out of the car. I also came out putting a bullet through each one's skull before they could even react.

The second car arrived and I immidietly shot the man before he could step another foot out. Another one came out holding his hands in surrender. "I'm not-" he immediately dropped on the floor after I put a bullet through his eyes.

I looked at the five dead bodies on the floor actually felt disrespected that whoever sent them would send such immatures to kill or kidnap me. Whatever they came here for. I passed the three dead bodies checking the cars, there was one dead man inside the car with a bullet in his forehead. I must've shot him on the way.

I looked for something that would give me as clue to who sent them when I bent down to their level. One of them was wearing a vest, showcasing his many tattoos. But one particular tattoo stood up to me, a 68.
