"I thought that's what every girl thought about? Marriage? Kids? How come you've never... thought about it? "
"I don't know okay. I just don't know." She chuckled. "Have you thought about having them ?"
"Yeah. I've thought about settling down, getting married, having kids. Building my own family since I don't have one." I smiled as I answered truthfully.
"Mmhhh... What would you name them ?" She asked as we crossed the street with our hands still holding each other.
"For a boy I like the name Kai and for a girl I like Kiara."
"Why do their names start with K ? Maybe you should also get a wife named Kathy or Kim or Katrina, you know somewhere along those lines." She said and we both laughed.
"I don't want a wife with a K name. I want a wife named Blue." I pulled her closer so I was walking behind her. Her back pressed against my front while I wrapped my hands around her shoulders.
"Too bad Blue is just a colour isn't it ?"

"Kenny.." She tried to say but I just shaked my head chuckling. Not finding humor in this situation.
Five long years of plotting and scheming, building a whole fucking empire just to destroy her. And she managed to do it in five minutes. She managed to do it without even lifting a finger.
I have a son and a daughter, and yet she kept this away from me. My own kids, I didn't know about. I swear there's literally no one in this world who's capable of inflicting so much pain and misery into my life more than Blue.
I turned to leave but my steps came to a halt because of her next words. "You know this is really getting old."
I looked back at her to find her folding her arms. "You're just gonna leave everytime there's a problem? The same thing happened five years ago Kenny! Why can't you just talk things out like a normal person? Shout, scream, just do something other than running away from your problems."
If I had to do something then it'll end being something I'll regret, something I might hate myself for doing. If only she knew how much I was chanting self-control in my head, she wouldn't want me to do something. I can become a monster when I'm angry, and I won't ever unleash that side of me to a woman. Even though the woman really deserves it. The only option is to walk away before I do anything that might hurt her. Blue doesn't really know how much I'm restricting myself right now.

Blue's POV.
He left.
again.
Yesterday felt so much like deja vu. History was repeating itself. I planned to tell Kenny the truth, but he caught me red handed, and.. he just left, without a word. Straight up what happened five years ago.
Now I believe in the phrase, the truth will always find a way to come out.
Kai just had to go and beat up someone.
Well, a part of me is relieved that he now knows the truth, but this isn't the way I wanted him to find out. Why can't my life have those peaceful confessions and mature conversations where I apologize and we figure out a way forward ? Because you never tell the truth. My subconscious mocked.
But it was true, if there's anything I've learnt from this and the past experiences, it's that, there's no perfect time to tell the truth. There's no such thing as the right time. Lesson learnt, the hard way, for the second time now.
If I didn't think he hated me then, now I'm sure he does. I could pay a million dollars to know what's on his mind. Why can't he be like those people who shout at you and scream at your face, telling you how awful of a person you are ?
I couldn't even read his facial expression, he wasn't giving any of it away, anger, hurt - I couldn't diciper what was on his mind. He hid his emotions real good.
I parked at Maddie's apartment complex and got out of my car before locking it.
I went up the stairs to the second floor and arrived at her door, knocking in the process.
The door opened and a shirtless Adam came into view. "Hey." He smiled as he held the door for me to get in.
"Is Maddie here ?" I asked as I got in and saw her on the dining room couch busy with her laptop, headphones on. "How have you been ?"
"Great." Adam answered and took a Cheeto from the plate on the counter and threw it at Maddie, hitting her forehead.
"Fuck you." She raised her head from the laptop looking at her fiance. She finally saw me and immediately took off her headphones, standing up.
"I was heading out so I'll just.." Adam took his shirt that was on the couch and wore it. He kissed Maddie and headed to the door.
"Adam!" Maddie called out before he could get out. Adam turned and his face was met with a Cheeto while Maddie laughed.
"You'll pay for that." He chuckled before he got out and closed the door.
"Ooohhh, and how will you pay for that ?" I raised my eyebrow at the last words smiling teasingly at her.
"Could you leave me alone for a sec ?" She said and I laughed at her. She rolled her eyes trying not to laugh as we sat down.
She was blushing and couldn't even hide it no matter how much she tried. "It's over can you stop laughing now." She chuckled as she hit me with a pillow.
"Okay I'm sorry." I caught the pillow from her, still laughing. "Just tell me how you'll get punished."
"I hate you." She chuckled folding her arms.
Maddie and I ordered pizza and she told me about how things were going. Her and Adam were still stronger as ever, their relationship was really beautiful if you ask me. I've never seen a couple less toxic than them. They literally have no drama, if they do, then they're doing a really good job hiding it. The respect, honesty, support, communication, care and love they give each other was priceless. She even said they started with the wedding preparations which I was excited to hear.
I really wish my life was less dramatic like hers. I told her about what happened yesterday at the twins' daycare. About Kenny finding out about the twins and him walking away, again.
"I don't blame him though Blue, maybe he needed some time to think." She poured the both of us a glass of wine."I mean that's what I would've done. Distance myself from the situation, take some time off to clear my mind. Carefully analyse what to do next."
"I mean you just dropped a bomb on him." She chuckled. "What did you expect him to do ?"
"I don't know, talk, scream, shout, shoot me ?" I gulped the entire drink in one go, putting the glass on the table.
"Well he could've done the last one if he didn't walk away." She drank her wine. "Just... wait for him to cool off, calm down. He'll come around."
"You think so ?"
"Yes. This time it concerns his kids so he has no other choice."
