You woke up and hurriedly untucked your self from the layers of blankets javi had set on your body. He tucked your legs in too tight, you struggled to get out while you felt the growing wetness in your mouth coat the inside. You wiggled out but it was too late, you pushed the thick quilt out from you and hacked. Trying to hold your mouth you felt it come out from your nose and down your neck. You had to sneeze but it was too dangerous too, you made loud noises to get javis attention, he dozed off in the chair in a very uncomfortable position. You kicked him enough for him to rub his eyes. "Oh shit." He helped you as best as he could out of bed and you hobbled to the bathroom and washed your hands in the sink. Your nosed leaked and your eyes burned. They where blood shot. You washed your hands and splashed your face with cold water. Using the small thin towel left for you. You heard javi on the phone with hospital staff asking them to change the sheets that you sweat though. You stumbled out and javi held onto you while you both waited. It was about 5:30 in the morning. Javi yawned and scratched the back of his head. "Are you ok?" You looked up at him with exhausted eyes. He gently wrapped his arms around you and you pressed into his warm large body. Hospital staff came and changed out the sheets and pillows. Javi asked your doctor if it was possible to switch out your meds but they said it was for your own good. It was a precaution to make sure that you wouldn't have anything in your system. They checked your breathing and temperature again, but still coughed aggressively. They hooked you up to oxygen, the small tubes lined the top of your lip, javi gave you another one of his shirts to wear. It was a lot Colder, everyone has left the room leaving you
and javi alone. He slumped back into his seat and groaned, then turned to you. "It's not that bad, I've got a cool mustache like you now." He chuckled and put his hand to your face caressing your cheek. You watched the monitor beep and the lines move up and down making sure that your beats where normal. "I'm going to leave, get new clothes. Do you want anything while I'm out."  He leaned forward in his chair to get out. "Some fruit. Like melons." He nodded as he swung his jacket over his shoulders and pushed his arms though. "How do you feel?" You looked at him, "like shit." He rubbed your cheek with his hands and kissed your head. "I'll be back." He gave you one final look before leaving the room, leaving you by your self. It felt larger after javi left, the sun was just peaking over the horizon of Columbias mountains. The trickled into the room letting it's golden tint illuminate the white room. It felt good on your face to feel it's comforting warmth. You reached for the boxy remote control on the side table next to you and flipped on the news channel. "Government registered vehicle shot at a stop light by presumed narcos. Two alive, one dead. Mark Cullen one of the passengers has this to say earlier this morning." The Tv transitioned, your boss was sitting in a room with a young women interviewing him. He had a bandage on his temple. "Can you please tell us what happened?" He sighed and rubbed his head, "it was terrifying, I thought I was actually going to be killed. We pulled to the stop light and I saw two people on motor cycles, they pulled out fire arms from their sides and fired." He twiddled his thumbs, "I thought I was a goner, how could someone do that to a person." He rubbed his head. The Tv cut to a familiar scene, you looked outside of your window and saw a few
Trucks and a load of people. You turned your head back to the Tv. "Another victim of the incident is as far as we know is in critical condition. We will not know more until later." You walked back and turned off the Tv.

"Hello, how was your night?" Your doctor checked your vitals. "Besides vomiting every thirty minutes.
Still terrible" she pulled out your IV and wrapped your arm with a bandaid and Gauze. "Pretty common. You're having visitors later." You looked up at her, "press?" She shook her head. "Embassy workers. Want a statement to release to the press." You stayed quiet and let her finish. "That man with the mustache." She pushed her lips together, "he's a looker." You smiled, "yeah he is.", "friend of yours?" The thought played though your head, it was beyond that now. "Something like that." She felt under your neck checking your lymph nodes. "Hold onto him, he was waiting for you when you got checked in. Then we finally let him." Your heart burned from the thought, you knew Javier felt terrible for not being with you all the way though when they brought you to the hospital. But he worked to get to you, he wouldn't forgive him self if he felt you alone by your self. It would drive him crazy. "Have you taken your meds this morning?" You snapped back, "uh no not yet." She scribbled on her clip board. "Eat something then take it, don't eat after then you'll throw all of it up." You nodded, she left the room and came back with a new cup of water with a straw. "Keep fluids in you." She gently closed the door behind you, without the IV being attached to you, you where able to walk around and move more freely. You where more happy about being able to sleep on your side now. Javi soon teen turned, changed and carried a small container filled with various fruits in it. Mangos, honeydew, water melon, and papaya. All Pealed and cut to a size that wouldn't make you choke. He wore a beige colored suit with a dark tie to contrast the
Lightness. It was about 7:00 now, "how are you feeling?" Javi popped the lid open and handed you the plastic fork that came with it. "Better now you're here." He patted your back gently. You took a bite from the sweet fruits he had picked up for you on the way to the hospital. "Officials are coming around 8, they're going to ask you very simple questions. Since you're messed up. I'll be handing everything for you on your behalf. No interviews with the press, no names in the article for your protection. You'll be transferred in two weeks from today." You sighed, "you're making me stay there for another two weeks." He shrugged, "I don't make the rules." You shrugged back, it was just two more weeks of hiding away in the filing room. How bad could it be? He offered to help you clean up but you didn't want him to mess up his suit. You changed into a new pair of pants and shirt. Javi re-braided your hair making sure it was out of your face. You washed your face in the tiny sink, water streamed down your forearms and onto the floor.
