(Y/n) P.O.V.

"Sometimes I wonder what life would have been life if you hadn't met me"

"Shitty, honestly. Probably over with."

I look up at my long term boyfriend from where my head rests in his lap. "I love you more than anything, Chase."

"I know. I love you too, (Y/n). That's the problem. I'm cursed."

We found out today that I have cancer.

I grab his hand and hood it to my cheek.

"Chase, please be strong for me. I need you to be my support through this. I'm scared. I need you to have some faith, the treatments will work." He silently cries, but nods.

"Through think and thin, (Y/n). You have me. After everything you've done for me, I can do this for you. I know you're going to push through. You're the strongest person I know."

I smile. After everything he's suffered with his divorce and loss of children, I think he's the strongest. He's facing losing his, as he puts it, last good thing. However, I don't say it. He'll just argue with me on it. Instead I say, "You're perfect."

He pets my hair comfortingly. "I'm glad I'm perfect for you."
