Chapter is almost done just some finishing touches, sorry it's taken so long. I'm trying my best to do Chainsaw Man justice and it just took alot out of me.
In my opinion the first episode is the best episode. It sets a deep depressing tone that hits like a truck. It does so because it's an unfortunate reality, not the devil stuff, but people being in such a horrible situation that is very difficult to get out of. But not impossible, I say so because my mother was poor as dirt but got an education and now lives a decent life. Continuing my opinion, Chainsaw Man immediatly sets the depressing tone unlike any dark and depressing anime, let alone a shonen anime has ever done, sure berserk has a dark opening(manga) but I'd argue Chainsaw Man is superior for the sake that it's much closer to reality and similar situations are feasibly possible. Also Denji isn't like any other shonen protag, with every other protagonist they(mostly) just shove off the fact their entire family's dead and act all happy go lucky, but Denji act's like an actual person is depressed and anyone say's Denji's not depressed...

He is depressed, as someone who was depressed, I quite literally had thoughts that would make anyone be worried about my well being(I don't want to talk about it) and went through therapy HE IS depressed. Hell, the support I got from you guys really helped me through that dark time for me, so for all of you have support this fic from March 21, 2022 to late 2022, I sinsearly thankyou.
Moving on, that could also go for any of the other characters, they act like actual people and that is Chainsaw Mans greatest strength. The world of Chainsaw Man is so real in how it's written and shown. Anyone who watches anime most likely watch it to escape reality, but no Tatsuki Fujimoto went like "I'm going to cram reality down your through in the form of the best manga and anime of all time."
Waifu time-
Power- I would have liked power, if not for the fact she has no hygene at all. I can deal with a lot of shit, but if you refuse to take a shower no, that is a deal breaker and nothing will change my mind. That's really for any girl anime or otherwise, I don't care even if she ticks of every single kink I'm into not happening in a million years.
Makima- When twitter exploded with Makima simps, I was looking at her and I don't trust her. I don't say that lightly, there has been no character in fiction where in the first episode and has done nothing at all where I've mistrusted them this much. I haven't read any of the manga, I was only spoiled the Chainsaw devil in name and image enough, my best guess is that it's essentially Denji going super saiyen, other than that nothing. I'm going to stick with my gut and not simp for Makima.
Himeno- not much to say hear, sure she's a pedo, I'm not going to defend her but people do dumb shit when drunk. Also throwing up in another person's mouth, no just no. Beside I like the relationship she well 'had' with Aki so yeah.
Kobeni- The only female character I like. You could say she's a scared pussy, but she is acting like how any normal person would act in that situation. Honestly out of all the Waifus in the history of anime, Kobeni is the one I would actually bring home to my parents if she existed irl.
Go outside touch grass, hug your parents, pet your dog, hang out with the boys/girls, treat people with respect, and know that no matter the situation, race, or location you can improve your life not by crime but putting your nose to the grindstone save up money, study, move, whatever you need to do, you can. Seeya!
