Twenty-Two

Cordelia's POV

Wheeling myself out of the room, I headed towards the elevator and entered inside before pressing the basement floor button. Everyone was busy and I couldn't sleep, so I decided to go on an adventure just like I used to do with Elliott. When I arrived on the floor, I exited the elevator and wheeled myself towards a lit room. As I kept wheeling myself towards the room, I heard some music playing and couldn't help but hum along. Who's down here late at night? Entering the room, I see Auntie Callie dancing and I raised an eyebrow at the clothes hanging there. She's living here at the hospital...Auntie Callie turned around and stopped dancing when she sees me.

"Hello there mija." Auntie Callie greeted me upon seeing me.

"H-Hi A-Auntie C-Callie." Auntie Callie walked up to me and bent down to my level.

"What are you doing here mija? It's midnight and you should be asleep." Auntie Callie tells me while holding onto my hand.

"Cannot sleep. So I decided to have an adventure. You are staying with us Auntie Callie because you are my family." I signed to Auntie Callie and she gives me a smile.

"I'll stay with you only if your mommies say yes. Now how about we go get some hot chocolate and I'll stay with you until you fall asleep?" Auntie Callie says and I nodded before the two of us leave the room.

"What was that song?" I signed when we arrived at the elevator and entered inside. Auntie Callie pressed the button to the main floor before turning to face me.

"A Spanish song that my parents used to play on the stereo." Auntie Callie replied with a sad smile and I squeezed her hand that was holding mine.

"Sorry I asked." I signed to Auntie Callie and she placed a kiss on my head when we arrived on our floor. The two of us exited the elevator and walked towards the coffee cart where Mommy and Mama were.

"You didn't do anything wrong mija." Auntie Callie said when Mommy sees me and hugs me.

"You scared us little one. Olivia paged us when you weren't in your room." Mommy explained to me before Mama hugged me.

"She couldn't sleep and went to the basement where she found out that I was living there. Cordelia then offered me to live with you guys, but I told her only if it's alright with you guys." Auntie Callie tells my mommies.

"Of course it's alright with us. Cordelia wants you there and so do we, after all you're family." Mama says before handing me a hot chocolate.

"We'll move you into the house tomorrow as I got to call my movers." Mama says and I couldn't help but smile before drinking my hot chocolate.
