the next day came around pretty slowly. the night before, ryo spent most of the afternoon and night making it up to megumi. he had dinner with her family and the two went back into her room to hang out. which consisted of them laying in bed together, watching movies on her tv. when megumi fell asleep, ryo noticed that it was getting pretty late and kohei texted him about some meeting tomorrow morning. so he quietly left her to sleep. but not before he left a note for her. telling her that he will be seeing her again.
as he left her, guilt started to fill his veins once again. everything he was doing was for all of the wrong reasons but there was some level of truth behind his words to her. he really did want to apologize to her, he wants to be loyal to her, he wants to stay on her good graces. but his loyalty to kohei seemed greater than his feelings for megumi and yet, he refuses to even acknowledge it.
the worst part? he knows that if megumi finds out about this, she will never ever forgive him. and that scared ryo something awful.
once he quietly closed her door, he took a moment to sigh and lean his head on the door. he stopped himself from opening it again and just staying with her throughout the night. but he had to get home before his own father got really worried and kohei was most likely already there to pick him up.
