*JOEY'S POV*

I watch as the two girls next to me are fast asleep, both of them looking as cute as ever. I can't take my eyes off Sadie. To think someone layed their dirty fucking hands on her innocent little figure.

It makes my heart break at the thought. She's so sweet and harmless, she wouldn't do anything to a fucking fly and he touches her.

I wish i could take her pain away. I have this urge to protect her, help her. I don't even know how she's so happy and nice with that going on. She covered it so well.

I knew something was going on. She wasn't right. But i can't just assume things or do anything because i don't know the truth. But i'm not oblivious. I knew something was happening to her.

I see a bit of purple on her cheeks where her tears took off her makeup. He didn't fucking touch her face did he?

I go to my mums bathroom and pull out makeup wipes. I bring them back and softly wipe them over her face. She doesn't even move a muscle. Is she a super sleeper?

The more i remove her makeup, the more colours i see. Shades of green, purple and blue.

"God fucking damn it." I see the slap mark. I feel like i've just been stabbed in the heart with a knife over and over.

"Joey come here." I hear my parents call from downstairs. I drop the makeup wipe on my bedside table and go downstairs.

"What's up?" I lean against the doorway.
"Sadie's mum will be here soon. She feels horrible."
"Alright, i'll wake her up soon."
They nod.
"You won't beleive what i just saw." I say walking fully into the office sitting with them.
"What?"
"There's a fu- slap mark on her cheek." I say trying not to swear.
"Your fucking joking." My dad speaks.
I shake my head.
"God i'm going to kill him."
"Not if i get there first."
Both my parents snap their eyes to me a smirk coming onto their face.

"I was thinking we could give them some money." I change the topic.
"That's actually a great idea. Her mum could work less and be with Sadie more." My mum agrees.
"I'll get the check." My dad says.

I leave the room walking upstairs to my room where my girls are sleeping.

I brush her hair off her face.
"Sadie, baby wake up."
Her eyes flutter open and i'm memorised by her dark chocolate coloured eyes. They get me every time.

"What's going on?"
"Your mum will be here soon."
"Oh. Okay."

She crawls out of my bed and we go downstairs. I'm about to be meeting Sadie's mum. I better make a good first impression. Under the circumstances i don't think she will remember it much, but it's important to me.

Soon her mum knocks on the door. My mum answers it. We all introduce ourselves.

Sadie and her mum hug eachother, crying into one another. I can't imagine finding out the truth about your boyfriend and what he does to your child.

"He's going to prison for a long time." My dad says as they pull away.

"Thank you, for all your help." Sadie sniffles looking between us all. I send her a soft smile which she returns.
