Rose and Mickey both grunt in effort as they carry the Doctor back inside. I would have helped, take some of the weight for them, if it wasn't for the dead grip the Doctor had on my hand, making me only capable to trail after them.

As gentle as possible Rose and Mickey lay the Doctor back on the bed.

"I will see if I can find something.", Mickey says. He loosely shakes his arms around, trying to gain feeling back in them before he leaves.

I quietly laugh to myself as I watch him leave, his arms shaking loosely by his side. Without thinking I pick up the cloth I used before, and softly wipe the sweat off the Doctor's brow.

I thought he looked bad before, but now he looks even worse.

His skin, even paler if that was possible, had now a glistening shine of sweat. I could practically feel heat oozing off him as I brush the cloth over his forehead. If he was a human I would be worried. But he was not, and I have to trust it will all works out like I know should.

I didn't notice, too focused on trying to offer some comfort to the alien, that Rose left. Didn't even notice her eyes on me for a full minute before that.

Now, without my knowing, I was yet again alone with the man. It didn't took too long for my own mind to taunt me, making me believe there were tingles traveling up my arm from the mere touch of our skin.

What was worse was the voices. One whispering worries to me, telling me to stay by his side, to give in to this invisible pull I have to him. But the other one, the more sane one, was telling me to run, run as far as I can from him and these feelings and don't look back.

It was an annoying conundrum, which voice to listen to. But no matter, only one could win.

So I stayed.

It was the easy choice, the one that took no effort. And right know I needed that, something easy, something that took no thinking whatsoever.

As time ticks by, my eyes grow heavy. The softness of the mattress beneath me wasn't helping and before I know it my eyes closed.

Rose and Jackie were anxiously watching the press conference on the tv. A red-looking, quite ugly, alien with a head like a goat's skull were staring back at them as it growls and gurgles at the screen.

"Rose, take a look. I've got access to the military. They're tracking a spaceship. It's big, it's fast and it's coming this way.", Mickey speaks up after some genius work on his laptop.

"Coming for what, though? The Doctor?", Rose asks in worry as she rushes up to him to look at his findings.

"I don't know. Maybe it's coming for all of us.", Mickey breathes out, now watching a clear imagine of four of the aliens.

"Have you seen them before?", Mickey questions the Tyler girl.

"No. I don't understand what they're saying. The Tardis translates alien languages inside my head, all the time, wherever I am.", Rose shakes her head.

"So, why isn't it doing now?", Mickey furrows his brows, Rose turning to look even more lost than before.

"I don't know. Must be the Doctor. Like he's part of the circuit, and he's, he's broken."
