"Of course." She responded, her words light and airy.

"Now, finally, our high-security storeroom." Anthony walked over to a door, grabbing the lock to fiddle with it.

"Locks?" Daniel muttered, biting down a laugh. "Locks?"

He turned around to the brunette, giving her his full attention with a small hum of acknowledgment.

"It's unlocked. . ." Lucy finished, looking over the two's shoulders.

"Note to self." Anthony turned to look down at the lock, "Heighten security on high-security storeroom."

"At least it has a lock this time." Daniel chuckled, covering her mouth with the back of her hand. When she had originally come to the house and Lockwood was giving Daniel her own tour, there hadn't been a lock at all. It was just a closed door that anyone who knew how to push on things would be able to open.

Lockwood slid the door open, the three of them walking in. Lucy paused a second, taking in the crazy amount of supplies the company had. "Wow."

"You never know what's coming." Anthony told her.

"Plus, George says it's easier to buy in bulk." Daniel shrugged, stuffing the last bite of her doughnut into her mouth with a grin.

"You still haven't told me where you got that haunted skull." Lucy turned around, looking at the two.

"It's George's." Daniel muttered, leaning her head on the wall. She was getting tired. She still hadn't been sleeping properly.

The boy nodded, quietly approving Daniel's statement. "He likes to experiment on it. See how it responds to different stimuli."

"You still haven't told me." Lucy shot back.

"He stole it." Lockwood grinned. "Come on. I'll show you the attic." As he was walking past her, Lockwood took Daniel's hand in his own, leading her up the stairs. He could see the exhaustion on her face and knew she probably wouldn't have moved had he not guided her way.

"This is where I slept when I was little." The brunet told Lucy, taking the final steps on the stairs. "You can use it, if you like. Unless you've other arrangements?"

"Yes." She breathed out with a small smile. "No- I mean-"

"Of course, we'd deduct the rent from your wages. Nothing too steep, just enough to cover the bills. I'm a very reliable landlord. Right Dani?" Lockwood pulled his hand from Daniel's grasp, tugging open the curtains to let light seep into the room.

"Mhmm." She nodded, looking over to the other brunette with a small smile.

Anthony made his way from the window, moving toward where the stairs were instead. "It's, uh. . .Got its own bathroom. There's a bigger one downstairs, but that'd mean sharing with George. I wouldn't wish that on anyone." He gave a light chuckle. When Lucy didn't respond, his smile dropped. "Right, well, we'll leave you to unpack. Settle in. That's assuming-"

"Those newspaper clippings on the wall. . ." Lucy cut him off, trailing her words out.

"Oh- You saw those. Not very modest, is it? Should really take them down." He nodded slightly.

"No, it's more- It's just- Well, it's just, you haven't said anything about- I mean, who are you?"

"He's Anthony Lockwood." Daniel quipped, grinning at her own small joke.

"Plenty of time for that. You should rest, get some sleep." He nodded, brushing the question off. "That's. . .if you'll take the job?"

"Yes." Lucy breathed out, nodding.
