Now I was sure something was definitely up. This deal was too good to be true. I've never came across someone as greedy as Santiago Alvaro. And now he was offering me fifty percent of his profit if I supplied him with drugs ? He's planning something, I just need to figure out what.

"So you buy 30% of the drugs from me. Then you give me half of your profit?" I asked him as the waiter came and served us our drinks.

"Yes, it's only until we can build trust between us. Then after that, we'll continue with a normal agreement. You'll supply me with the merchandise, without us splitting the profit." He concluded and I looked at Jake besides me. He too wasn't buying any of the crap Santiago was feeding us.

"Well, in that case." I took my glass and raised it. He also took his, smiling. "To working together."

I was about to sip the wine when the glass was pushed away from my hands, causing it to fall and break on the floor. I took out my gun ready point at whoever dared to push the glass off my hands when I saw a little girl bending down, her hands on the liquid on the floor.

I put my gun away while everyone stared at her. Her eyes finally met mine when she stood up and showed her hands to me. She had long black hair that was tied in a ponytail and brown hazel eyes underneath the little eye glasses. Somehow seeing her eyes bought an image of Blue.

I looked at her hand trying to see what she was showing us, at first I thought the glass cut her but she said no when Jake asked her that.

"Look, it vanished!" She said still showing her fingers to us. Everyone looked at her confusedly and she sighed, face palming herself.

"The nail polish." She explained showing us her fingers that had pink nail polish, except two of them. "Mom said if a drink has bad powder in it, the nail polish will go away."

"I put these two fingers inside the drink and the nail polish left, see ?" She continued and Jake stood up and moved her away from the glass.

He took flower petal from the vases in the restaurant and put it on the spilled wine on the floor. The pink flower petal immidietly dried out. The bright flower withered within seconds.

Poison.

"This thing would've killed you before you even got out of that door." Jake chuckled as he stood up.

"How did you know it had poison ?" I asked the little girl who had the attention of the both mine and Santiago's men and the few waiters in the room.

"What's poison ?" She asked confusedly, eyes narrowed as she looked at me.

"I mean." I sighed. "I mean bad powder."

"Ohh, I saw that man." She pointed at Santiago. "Giving the waiter bad powder to put in your drink."

"No no no no, she must be confused. I didn't-"

"I'm really really sorry for her behaviour." A middle aged women interrupted Santiago as she picked up the little girl. "What did I say about talking to strangers ?" She asked the 4/5 year old girl.

"But Yada I was-"

"No Kiara-"

"It's fine, really." Jake interrupted and the women nodded, apologizing for the little girl again before she turned and took their take aways from the counter. I watched as the woman and the little girl headed out of the restaurant and got inside an expensive looking car.

As soon as the car got out of site I turned to look at Santiago. He didn't even get a chance to explain before I put a bullet through his skull. His body fell from the chair as blood ran from his forehead down. I saw a waiter trying to reach the door and I immidietly put a bullet at the back of his head, his body dropping on the floor. Jake and my men shot the four men Santiago came with.

We booked the restaurant for two hours so it was empty, just my men and Santiago's men. There was also a couple that came to fetch take aways but they ran out of here immidietly after I shot Santiago, just like the couple, the woman and the little girl must've come to fetch an online order.

I knew Santiago was up to something from the moment I heard his offer. I knew he was up to something, but poison ? He was that much of a coward to resort to poison to kill me ?

If the little girl, Kiara, wasn't there, I would've been dead by now.

I was saved by a five year old.

I stopped my assault on the punching bag when I heard my phone ringing. I took the phone and answered Jake's call.

Jake hasn't stopped talking about the little girl from yesterday. And I won't lie, she's been on my mind too, I didn't even get a chance to thank her for saving my life or explain to her mom that she wasn't interfering in our business, her daughter actually saved me. She probably wasn't even aware that she just did. I was still in shock to even say anything to her yesterday, but the woman was certainly raising a special kid.

"Jake."

"Are you busy ? I need your help with something." He replied.

"Everything alright ?" I got out of the gym and headed to my room.

"Apparently Matteo got in trouble at daycare."

I chuckled. "Wasn't today his first day ?"

"Yes, and he got into a fight with some kid. I got a call to come there immidietly."

"He finally found his match." I said and we both chuckled knowing very well how much Matteo loved being the boss.

"I'm fetching Charlotte from her parent's place. We were gonna be in time to fetch him when daycare closed, but I'm needed now and I'm atleast three hours away." He explained to me.

"Okay. Go fetch Charlotte and I'll take care of the Matteo issue." I replied as I got inside the shower.

"Thanks. I'll send you the location of his daycare." He said and I hung up.

"I'm here for Matteo Jones." I told the lady at the front desk and she directed me to the principal's office. Rich people, what kindergarten has a reception ?

I found a young lady sitting behind the desk and Matteo sitting on one of the chairs inside the office. She introduced herself as the principal's assistant before she got out to call the principal.

"Uncle K." He said as he came to hug me as soon as the woman closed the door.

"What did you do this time ?" I chuckled as we went to sit on the chairs.

He was about to answer when the door clicked open and a boy about his age, or younger, came inside.

I saw Matteo's fist tighten as the shorter kid came to him.

"Listen here, new kid." He emphasized the last words looking straight into Matteo's eyes. "You're gonna tell my mom that this is all your fault. You'll say you started the fight, not me."

I looked at the kid who just threatened Matteo in awe. He didn't even care that Matteo's parent was inside the room, he was younger and shorter. But he didn't even cower away.

"I will not do that." Matteo answered angrily.

"Then it means me and you are gonna have a problem." The little boy stepped closer. "Ask around the playground what happens to people I have a problem with."

He heard a female voice and his eyes widened. "Do what I say." He said as he got out and closed the door.

I don't even know what to say, he just threatened a kid, infront of the kid's parent. I know I'm not Matteo's parent, but the little boy doesn't know that, yet he was brave enough to do it. I shouldn't be impressed by this, I really shouldn't.

"What's wrong with you ?" A female's voice said behind the door.

"This time it wasn't my fault mom, I swear." The little boy answered.

"Kai it's the third time you've been in a fight this month! Third time."
