"Okay.. name under Alexander Cooper about the Alliance with the Goated Gang.." She said to herself typing something. "Are you available today ?"
"T-today ?"
"Yes, today or next week Friday, the only available spots."
I looked at Maddie and she nodded. I sighed loudly before I answered. It's now or never."Okay, today's fine with me."
"Great, 6 O'clock on the dot, do I send the location to this number or.."
"Yeah, the same number." I said and hung up. I closed my eyes and palmed my face. I'm so scared. Seconds later I heard my phone ding, I didn't need to look at it to know it was the location. I looked at the time on my phone along with the text, I had two hours before I see Kenny.
****
I arrived at a huge isolated building that was just written HEADQUARTERS. With the way this place was isolated from the city, it was definitely not a place of fun. It was also heavily secured with more than fifty bodyguards, and I'm just taking about the front gate and the roof. There are probably more on the other sides.
Getting in was also a whole fucking process. I had to give them the permission QR code Martha sent me. They had to scan it before granting me access. There was a weapon searcher machine thingy. I had to give up all my weapons, my gun, spare gun and emergency gun. My blade and dagger and emergency knife.
Well, jokes on them because if I wanted to, I could kill with just hair pin. Or my heels, or my earings, or my hands, or my belt. There are really more than a thousand ways to kill a person without a weapon.
The woman from the reception led me to the top floor. The inside legit looks like a real business, but even I know better. The building was super clean, with people working in what looked like a factory reset or something. If this was really a factory then, that much security wouldn't be needed. The police might be dumb, but I'm not.
I got inside the elevators once they opened and saw a man that was rushing towards the elevator doors so I held it for him.
"Thanks." He said as he got inside. He was a pale bulky man in yellow suit pants and a red t-shirt. Kai would've shouted "Winnie the Pooh!" I'm so glad he's not here. "which floor ?" The man asked as he struggled with the two boxes and three bags he held.
"Top floor." I responded.
"I'm going underground-"
"It's fine, you can go ahead." I told him and he pressed one floor down. A factory that has an underground area, how unsuspecting.
The elevator dinged seconds later with the doors opening. He got out and they closed again. I was about to press the 10th floor, which was the last one, when I saw that the man dropped his phone.
I picked it up and opened the elevator doors. I walked out, looking around and the man was nowhere to be found. There was a bunch of doors, many closed, some left ajar.
I walked a little further hoping to see him, but I didn't find him. That's when I just decided, I'll leave the phone with the reception lady when I get back. I was walking back to the elevators until I heard a familiar voice.
"I asked you a question." He said and I headed closer to the room his voice came from.
The door was left ajar so I could see in detail what happening inside the room. A man was tied up in a chair. His face was unrecognisable because of the blood that was covering his entire face. He didn't have a shirt on so there was blood running through his chest that had knife stabs and woulds all over. He looked horrible.
"Y-yeth." The man tried to get out in a horse voice. He didn't have even a single tooth. It seemed like all his teeth were knocked out considering the amount of blood that came out of his mouth. He was running out of breath and his body seemed like it was giving up.
"You know very well what happens to people who lie to me." Kenny said as he went to the corner of the room. It was filled with all kinds of weapons you would find in a totoure room. "And yet you go ahead and do it."
"On top of that you steal from me." He chuckled. "You're a brave little one aren't you ?" He took a bottle from the corner and went back to the chair, pouring the liquid all over the man. The bottle had a huge flammable sign on it, parrafin oil.
"Let's see how brave you are right now." Kenny said as he lit up a lighter and threw it on top of the man.
The lighter caught fire and immidietly, the man's body was in flames. Kenny watched coldly as the man screamed in pain and tried to fight back. His body was on fire and Kenny just watched until his screams couldn't be heard anymore.
The coldness in his eyes as he watched the man burn in flames was indescribable. The man's body gave up and he stopped fighting, just like he stopped breathing.
Kenny just burned a man alive.
"Clean this shit up. I have a meeting, I don't wanna see this when I get back." He said as he gestured to the dead man who was still in flames. The two other man in the room nodded as Kenny headed to the door.
I quickly got inside the next door and luckily found it empty, it was just an empty room with a wooden chair. I peeked on the small hole of the door handle and saw Kenny heading to the elevators.
Yeah, that meeting is postponed.
