"Okay, plus I want-"

"We're not eating the junk you usually eat." He interrupted me. "Come on." He said as he opened the door.

"But dad you don't know how McDonald's taste, that's why you think-'

"No." He said and I folded my arms as we got out of the mansion.

"So much for being my dad and not my boss." I mumbled and he chuckled.

"I heard that."

"Can I get you anything else ?"

"No, that'll be all. Thank you." I smiled at at waitress and she reciprocated the action, leaving the table with our orders.

"Dad there's actually something I want to ask you. It's about Kenny, I mean Kenneth." I corrected myself looking at him.

"That's actually the reason I asked to see you." He said as he drank the vodka in his hand.

"What? I thought you said this wasn't business related ?" I asked him, confused as I narrowed my eyes. "What..?"

He sighed. "Blue you know I love you right ?" He asked and I nodded. "You know you can share anything with me right ?"

"Yeah." I replied, not knowing where this conversation was going.

"What's going on between you and Brown ?" He questioned and I swallowed my non existent saliva. "I remember very well I sent you on a mission years back to retrieve the flash drive from him."

"That was the first and only mission you've ever failed to diliver. I wanted to kill him, but you convinced me otherwise." My dad continued and at this moment, I wanted the earth to open and swallow me whole. Did I honestly think he wouldn't suspect a thing ? "And then he comes back years later, you looked like you saw a ghost when your eyes met. Not only that, he comes back as the mob leader, who attacks our gang and picks up a fight with us for absolutely no reason at all.. Does it have anything to do with you ? What exactly happened five years ago ?"

I sighed heavily as I decided on wether or not to tell him. Or better yet, how to tell him.

"I.. we fell in love." I calmly said as I looked out the window of the restaurant, then back at my dad. He didn't give away any emotion or some type of reaction, that I know he's good at.

"I don't know how or when it happened, but I found myself falling for him. The amount of time we spent together wasn't making things easier too. I got to know and understand him and dad he was.." I sighed heavily as I thought about our moments together.

"He was caring and loving, supportive and attentive and.. I can't find the perfect words to describe how amazing he was but.." I shrugged my shoulders as I looked outside. "Our relationship became something more than just a mission for me. There were times I even forgot why I was there. Times where the flash drive would be the last thing on my mind. He was the only thing that mattered at that moment... But it really doesn't matter anymore now does it."

"What happened ?" My dad asked with a straight face. I really wonder what he's thinking.

"A trip to the Maldives happened." I chuckled, not finding this humorous at all. But you know, coping mechanism. "Confessed our love for each other on the first night there. In the middle of the ocean.. it felt surreal but magical."

"We spent the next day together, I woke up to a candlelight breakfast-rose petals and all. We took a long walk on the beach, boat riding, dining under the sea. It was perfect.. until it wasn't. The best day of my life turned into the worst."

"Kenny got a call from work, which was originally the reason why we were there. I had finally taken a decision to tell him the truth about me, my identity and why I was there in the first place."

"Fast forward, I decided to get rid of the nerves of coming clean, by doing what I do best."

"Kill ?" He asked and I nodded.

"He caught me red handed, in a hotel room, killing a man. He saved me from getting arrested." I said, still thinking about how he saved me, broke the law and his values just for me. It's something I'll never be able to understand even if I tried to.

"It was also the same night he found out that I killed his parents. I'm the person he's been obsessing over for years, so he'd get justice for them." I continued, feeling a little weight being lifted off my shoulders by telling my dad everything. Maybe I really did need to talk to someone. "I came clean about everything, including my identity, the flash drive, the mission."

"I guess it was all just too much for him,  because he didn't want anything to do with me after that. I understand, really. I hurt and lied to him, I didn't deserve a second chance. Him leaving was.." I shrugged my shoulders not finding the right words to complete my sentence.

"Okay, so you're telling me, he left my daughter all alone, in an unknown island ?" My dad asked.

I chuckled. "Okay, so you're telling me, that out of all the things I just told you. That stood out? A man finding out his lover has been lying to him from day one. A man finding out his lover killed his parents. None of them stood out to you?" I asked him smiling with my eyebrows raised. "The only thing you heard was your daughter being left alone ?"

"Yes. Once you have kids, you'll understand" He chuckled and immidietly my body stiffened.

"Yeah." I faked a smile. "But.. now he's here because of me. Kenny's here to avenge himself because he thought I was using him, which I was for the first few weeks."

"He's promised to take out our gang, he wants to destroy every little thing that's valuable to me. He hates- no he despises me. I'm the reason he's here."

"You're not. He chose his path, it's was his decision. You shouldn't blame yourself for people's choices."

"But I influenced it dad." I shaked my head. "Kenny only became an officer because he wanted to get justice for his parents, by finding my ultra-dark shadow, Python.
Now he's turned into a ruthless mob leader because he wants to get his revenge from me."

"I'm the reason our gang is falling apart." I continued. "... and I'll be the reason it rises back. I promise you that."

"I trust you will."

"I'll fix this." I said more to myself.

"But be careful Blue, there's nothing more dangerous than a vengeful man who has absolutely nothing to loose." He warned.

Our waiter came and served us our food. My dad had a Whole Maine Lobster while I had a Prime Rib toast with some steak on the side. I should really visit these fancy restaurants more often. The food was delicious, amazing to say the least.

"So.. Kenneth is the reason why you aren't married? Let alone never introduced a spouse to us?" My dad asked with his eyebrows raised.

"Well.. kind off."

"Good." He sighed in relief. "I thought you were playing for Max's team for a minute."

"What ?" I laughed looking at him. "Dad I'm not lesbian."

"That's why I'm relieved." He chuckled. "What did you want me to believe? You're twenty six and till this day you haven't introduced us to a partner.",

"You chased them away in high school!"

"High school, exactly. Now you're twenty six so it had me worried a little bit." He said and I laughed.

"Well, stop worrying cause I'm not gay dad."

"Good. Cause for a moment there I thought I'd have to forget about my dream of having grandkids." He chuckled.

I just need to tell me Kenny first, then I'll introduce you to them. I promise you dad.
