Person leans back, jaw slowlyunclenching. They reach down and pull a device from their belt andForks' eyes flicker briefly to it and person notices, giving a slightdemonic grin.

PERSON – You wantto know what this does? Steps to the side slightly, and Forks'eyes follow, and person hits a button on side of device. Thereflective glass pane directly in front of Forks changes tononreflective, revealing a young child seated in a similar sort ofcell in the room across from them. Forks watches the child, whoseeyes are locked on him, brow furrowing slightly, trying to figure outwhy they're there.

PERSON – Subject38. Discovered 17 months ago. Been held for 14 months and eighteendays to count. Now, if I'm being completely honest here, theirSpecial Ability has to be one of my absolute favourites. Forkslooks up at him suddenly then.

FORKS – SpecialAbility?

PERSON – Anabnormality in their genetic structure that allows them to attain amutation, one that revolves around certain elements their youngerselves were exposed to in extreme amounts. Person steps back againand gestures towards the child Subject 38 was a successfulexperimentation with psychic telekinesis, though their mind is stillmaturing so we are as of yet unsure about the full capabilities oftheir adhered ability. Person suddenly becomes more attentive toForks again, and moves around in front of him again, placing hands oneither hand rest of Forks' chair and leaning forward in his face Nowyou are aware of what sort of power we hold here, Subject 38 is goingto... persuade you to feel more inclined to talk. Personsteps back again, and Forks' eyes flick from person to Subject 38.Suddenly Subject 38's stare seems to harden and their eyes begin toglow. Forks' breathing suddenly becomes more rigid and he breaks outin a sweat, person watching all the while until Forks' eyes glazeover and he seems to relax Now I'm going to ask again. What isyour name?

FORKS – Lieutenant Forks, from the National Police Department.

PERSON– Grins Nowwasn't that easy. So tell me, why were you at the old Morrigan PowerPlant?
FORKS – Eyesstill glazed and voice slightly monotonous Iwas investigating Harry *insertlast name*.He was a suspect for the power plants destruction six years ago butleft free of charge, so I went to see if I could find any otherinformation that had been missed there.

PERSON – And did you find anything?

FORKS– No. Browfurrows slightly ButI did hear something, and when I went to investigate something orsomeone knocked me out.

PERSON– Why were you investigating Harry *insertlast name*?

FORKS– Facerelaxes again and voice returns to monotony Hissister was either murdered or committed suicide, so as is protocol weinterrogated the family and Harry walked out, seemingly withholdinginformation. I was assigned the task of finding more information onhim and found the file linking him to the towns power outage and theold Morrigan Power Plant's destruction.

PERSON – And why would he have withheld information?

FORKS – I don't know. Maybe he was protecting his sister.

PERSON– Maybe he was. Personcircles Forks slowly again Maybethey both had something to hide. Do you know what they were hiding,Lieutenant Richard Forks?

FORKS – No. Brow creases You used my full name....

PERSON– Do you know what happened the day Harry *insertlast name*outed the entire towns power supply? Forks'brow remains furrowed but remains slack in chair Orwhat Harry and Isobella have been hiding for the past six years? Whatthey were exposedtowhen they were younger?

FORKS– Realisationsuddenly dawns, brow straightens and blood drains slightly from faceTheyhave Special Abilities too.

PERSON– Almost fourteen years ago, there was a car crash. Car totallymangled went straight off the side of a cliff and landed on a powerline. There were only two passengers, one, the driver, female by thename of Juliet Trienscal. She didn't make it out of the crash sitealive. The other, only three years old, by the name of Harry *insertlast name*,spent six weeks in hospital recovering, but somehow survived. Sevenyears later-

FORKS – ...he was the only suspect of destroying an entire townselectricity supply...

PERSON– Exactly. Signalsto the child, their eyes return to normal suddenly and their headdrops in exhaustion. Forks snaps back to normal then, looking amixture of horrified at what he revealed and also a mix of urgencyand disbelief at what he found out. Person stops then and sighsUnfortunately,now we have all we need from you and you know too much to just be letout of here now. Personfingers weapons at belt, and Forks' eyes widen suddenly as herealises what is about to happen, but doesn't get a chance to so muchas utter a sound before Person whips a knife out and with a kind ofsatisfied snarl thrusts it into the side of Forks' head. They twistit slightly as Forks dies, then pull it out with a sickly jerk.

PERSON– Looksat the 2 people clad in black still standing there and starts makingtowards the door Cleanthis mess up Exitsthe room letting door slam shut behind them.
