27th Annual Charity Ball for Support Ukraine

(Lucifer)

Once we arrived inside, I would feel her angry gaze. I know she doesn't like all the attention on her. I know she's upset at me for revealing to the world that she's my girlfriend, but I did it for a good reason. Before we headed down the grand stairwell, I took her to the balcony. I could feel her wanting to explode at me. 

"Lucifer! Why would you do that? I'm not embarrassed by you, but I thought we would keep our relationship private," she shouted.

"Bumblebee-" I said

"Why? Now all eyes will be on me. My private life won't be private anymore." She said sadly.

I held her to calm her down. Once she was relaxed, I explained everything.

"Bumblebee, I understand your frustration, and I sincerely apologize. I did it because I wanted everyone to know that you are mine. My precious, in my world, men will try to conquer you and steal you away. You are a gorgeous woman, and there are a lot of men; young and old, here tonight who will try everything in their power to corrupt you. Some of them are dangerous; once they see you, they try to do disgusting things with you, which I can't bear to happen to you." I said

*She was shocked*

"Hey, it's ok, baby girl, nothing will happen to you. You have nothing to be frightened of. I'm a respected and feared man. Once they know you're my girlfriend, they learn to stay away from you. They know I'm not the kind of man to mess with, and if they try to touch or mess with what's mine, they know the price," I said

It doesn't take an expert to know what he meant by that. Lucifer is a powerful man. Powerful men have the authority to do whatever they want. I knew he was like that, but I understand why he did all this. He's doing this to protect me and because he cares about me. I see it in his eyes; he deeply cares about me and my safety. I mean a lot to him. To show my love and appreciation, I hugged him. 

"Thank you LuciBear; I'm sorry I shouted. I understand fully now why you did it. I appreciate everything you've done for me. You're the best boyfriend." I said 

He hugged me tightly.

"You have nothing to apologize for, and there's no need to thank me. Everything I do for you is to protect and cherish you,"  he said 

We were both about to head inside, but I stopped him. I had to confess my feelings for him. I only hope he feels the same. 

"Lucifer, wait," I said 

"Something wrong, darling?" He asked 

"There's something I wanted to tell you," I said 

He looked nervous, curious, and anxious about what would come from my mouth.

I'll admit I was nervous. I wondered what she wanted to say. Did she want to end this? I hope to Hell not; I can't lose her. I won't lose her. I chose her. I picked her to be my bride, my future queen of Hell. I chose her because I love her. Yes, I love her deeply. I know I haven't said the words to her yet, but that was the plan tonight. 

"Lucifer, I appreciate everything you've done for me. You lifted my spirits. You comforted and consoled me. You made me smile again, something I haven't done since my divorce last year. The time we spent together has been amazing, and I'll forever cherish it; such beautiful memories. " she said
