"Y/N, can we talk for a little bit?" Jin's voice was soft, tiptoeing. It was as if he was afraid where to step, afraid to detonate something unknown. You pulled the comforter up over you and curled in on yourself more.

Namjoon gestured for Jin to take the chair that was still by your bedside. Jin hesitated for a brief second before sitting down, mustering up a half smile for you. Namjoon stood behind him, leaning against the wall. His eyes were calculating as he took you in and you felt panic rising in your chest.

You hadn't realized you were hyperventilating again until Jin grabbed your hand, "You're ok honey, just breathe little one." With a whimper, you closed your eyes and focused on your breathing.

"I'm fine, sorry," You said, pulling your hand back from Jin with a deep breath. You blinked at the two wolves. You were relieved to see Namjoon's expression softer. "What did you want to talk about?"

"I know this won't be easy," Jin shifted in his seat, "But we need to ask you about your old pack." You weren't sure if you felt fear or anger or indifference, you mostly felt numb and tired.

"What about them?" You asked slowly.

"Were you born into the pack?" Namjoon spoke up.

"No, I was only with them for about 5 years. Before that I was with another pack. They were the ones that took me from the pack I was born into, but they took me when I was young and I don't remember much about my original pack."

Namjoon paused before asking his next question, "Did either of your packs know you were a golmul?"

"Both of them knew," You swallowed hard.

"Is that why they are after you?" Jin asked softly and you nodded. "The Alpha Mother seems to think that golmul have other abilities. Do you Y/N?"

You shook your head violently, "I don't have any, I swear!"

"It's ok honey, we're just asking. You're ok little one, you're safe here," Jin cooed and you felt yourself relaxing slightly.

"They tried to make my other gifts manifest," The words just came sliding out, "But they never came. If it wasn't for how different my healing abilities are, I would say I wasn't golmul. But they just kept pushing and when they wouldn't come, they tested my healing abilities."

"How would they test your healing abilities?" Namjoon asked. Your fingers curled into clenched fists.

"They had different experiments. There was a boy dying and I would heal him every night. Jihun wanted me to cure him, but I couldn't his disease was too invasive and spread too quickly." You remembered that boy, how desperate Jihun seemed some nights, how angry he would get when you told him you couldn't cure the pup. You cleared your throat.

"They would make me try bringing animals back to life, but I can't do that. They would hurt anyone who talked to me, a different way every time and tell me to heal them." You cleared your throat again, your emotions kept coating the inside of your throat, making it hard to keep going on, but you also couldn't make yourself stop.

"They would hurt me. See how fast I could stitch together a stab wound, how long it took to restore a broken bone, dislocate my shoulder to see if my body could pop it back into place." You could go into more detail, but their faces were drained of color and you felt bad continuing. You looked away, guilt and shame washing over you as you remembered the things that you've had to do. After a long moment of silence, Jin spoke up.

"Y/N, I'm so sorry we didn't find you sooner!" You let yourself face him again. His soft glassy eyes full of your grief and you felt your bottom lip tremble. Your wolf howled, desperate to be accepted and you cried, wishing it could be that easy.

Jin sat on the edge of the bed and softly pulled you into his arms. You let him hold you, unable to say no in the moment. You let the warmth of his body draw you in. His natural scent was fresh and crisp like the peak of spring bleeding into summer. One of his hands rubbed your back while the other drew your head into his shoulder.

He let you purge yourself, soaking the fabric of his t-shirt you had your face pressed to. You were tempted to feel embarrassed, but you were so tired and felt so raw. You had been running for days and now it still felt like you were navigating one hurdle after another. You just wanted to rest. When your tears slowed and your breathing became deep and relaxed, Jin pulled you from his shoulder and smiled at you.

"Everything's going to be ok, honey," He reassured and you nodded, hoping against hope that it could somehow be true.

"I'm sorry Y/N, I have just one more question." You blinked up at Namjoon, bracing yourself for the question. "Do you think they will attack this village to get to you?"

"I don't know," You shrugged, "This is the closest I've ever come to escaping."

So how are you guys liking the story so far? I didn't ever think that I would include an idol outside of BTS in my stories, but honestly I think Hwasa fits the character so well that I had to include her. I love her as an artist! Her confidence and her "I don't give a fuck, I'm going to be me!" attitude is so inspiring!

Are any of you as surprised as I am that we're still getting so much content from the boys? Promise is now on Spotify and between that and on the street, I feel like I'm in heaven! It makes up for the fact that I didn't get tickets to Suga's concert 😭😭😭😭 Haha! I guess Life Goes On? 😉😂😝 Hope you all are doing well!
