Namjoon was well aware that when Jin had presented as the Luna of the pack, the Alpha Mother had hoped that Jin and Hwasa would be mates and Hwasa would take over as the Head Alpha.
The thing was Hwasa was a good alpha and a good woman, she would have made a good Head Alpha had not the Moon Goddess chosen Namjoon to fill the spot when he mated with Jin.
"We should talk to Y/N though. We need more information," Namjoon was finally getting to the point he had started this conversation for in the first place.
"What do you want to ask her about?" Jin blinked in confusion.
"I need to know why her alphas are coming for her, if she has any other gifts, things like that." Jin seemed uneasy.
"I have a feeling she's not going to want to talk," Jin pointed out and Namjoon sighed.
"I know, but we need to try."
"Did she say anything about what types of gifts other gol- whatevers have had in the past?" Jin waved his hand in irritation when he couldn't remember how to pronounce golmul. Namjoon stifled a laugh.
"I asked, but she was really cagey about it. It could be that she just doesn't like me and she was being difficult on purpose," Jin rolled his eyes again with a huff, "Or she just doesn't know."
"Or she just doesn't want us to know," Jin added, "Who knows what it could be! It could be something like Jimin or Taehyung, or it could be something related to healing, it could be anything. What if she doesn't want us to know so she can calculate or plan or something? I don't know!" Jin threw up his hands.
Namjoon understood Jin's frustration. The fact that she didn't give him a single example made him uncomfortable too. It made him feel like she was hiding something.
You sat on the edge of the bed dejected. This day had been one negative encounter after another. You wanted to curl up and hide, but you weren't even allowed to close the door anymore. Jimin was upset with you and you were upset with him. Your mating bond was not solidified, but you could feel his hurt leaking through.
What right did he have to be upset? They had been talking about you through the link and it felt like they were talking about you behind your back. Then he had scolded you for treating his mate badly when you had just been scared and hadn't actually said anything to Jungkook. You thought Jimin was on your side, but it made more sense that he would take the side of his actual mate.
You furiously wiped at the tears that escaped down your cheeks. You were angry that you were crying at all. You had been off seenap root for almost a week now. Was a week long enough for the effects to start wearing off?
Because you didn't quite feel like yourself. An unfamiliar desire to fight back was waking up, pushing against the iron lid of its coffin. It was throwing you off, this stubborn feeling, this desire to talk back. You didn't think you would ever feel that way again, not after Jihun made it clear that was unacceptable.
You gasped, searching for air as you were thrust back into a memory.
He was sitting on your chest then tilted your head back and held your jaw closed. Your arms were pinned by his legs, but your legs kicked desperate for air.
"What did I say about talking back?"
You clutched your chest, forcing yourself to breathe through the memory and shoving your sob forcefully down.
"Y/N? Are you ok?" Your head snapped up at the voice. Jin and Namjoon were watching you from the doorway, you hadn't heard them come in. Their looks of concern made you cringe. You shuffled back on the bed until your back hit the headboard. Jin shared a glance with Namjoon, and you felt your face flush with heat. You were embarrassed they saw you like that.
