Shadows From Her Past

No one would know how she was in pain until at the present, thinking that everything will be fine. Every time she missed her father, she can't do anything but to cry and have some sleepless night. She tried to hide it to her mother and to her friends because she didn't want them to worry about her. She always looked to her small box of memories, all things that Andrei gave to her and until now she was still hoping that destiny will made a way to cross their ways again. When she went outside of her room she heard that her mother was talking her father on the phone.

Celine looked at her daughter, "Wait honey, Abigail is here" she said over the phone

"Can I talk to her?" he asked

She cover the mouth piece of the phone, "Sweetie, your father wanted to talk to you" she said trying to persuade her through her eyes

Abigail walked towards the kitchen, "Please tell to him that I am not in the mood" she answered

Her mother looked disappointed on how she react, "Honey, I'm sorry" she said "She was not in a good mood right now" she added

She can hear his deep sighed on the other line, "It's fine Celine, I think she still mad at me" he said "Do she needs something?" he asked because he knew that her daughter was in college

"No, she's fine Andrew" she tried so hard to held her tears "We are fine here, just look for your other kids" she said "Don't worry about us"

"When you needed something, you just call me" he said "Goodbye" he added

She still keep on holding her tears, "Goodbye, always take care yourself" she said

"Yes, I will" he said "Please tell Abigail to take care herself" he added

She nodded, "Yes, I will tell her" then she hang up the phone. Celine stood up and went to the kitchen, she saw Abigail cooking her own food.

"What did father told you?" she asked like she was mad "Did he asked for your forgiveness all over again?" she asked while she was preparing for her own food

Celine approached her and held her to the shoulders, "Honey, your father just missed you so much" she answered "All he wanted was to talk to you, and asked you about your studies" she explained

"Mom, please I don't want to talk about Dad" she said

Her mother just shrugged, "Fine honey, but please give him a chance to explain or to talk to you" she said "He's still your father" she added

Abigail went to the table to get the ingredients for her food then went in the front of the stove then she cooked her food, without any words.

Her mother stand beside her, "Don't tell me you are still mad at your father about everything" she asked sadly

She looked at her mother and sighed, "Ma, you know how hard for us to let him go and be with his new family" she answered "I'm just very disappointed after all, it's just I'm disappointed about him" she said while stirring what she was cooking

Celine tapped her shoulder, "Okay dear, but when your father called again" she was thinking if she will do her favor "Can you talk to him? Your father wanted to talk to you after a long year that you didn't talk to him" she said

She looked to her and closed her eyes, "Okay Ma, I will because it's your request" she smiled and continued on cooking.

Another day that her sadness hits again, a night with restlessness thinking why men keep on cheating. While looking up in the sky thinking about Andrei and the unknown feeling for her father, she thought how to settle things without being hurt. On her second thought, she wanted to talk to her father personally once more to ease the pain and bitterness she felt for a long time but she didn't want to hurt herself once more. All she wanted was peace of mind and to be free from the things inside her, when she hurt a guy she thought that she avenges her and her mother but the result was opposite. She knew in her own she was not feeling well so that she thought another way to make her feel better, she tried to find a part time job not because of money but to make herself busy. She tried to be a tutor for kids, she looked in the internet if someone was looking for a tutor for their kids and she find a person who in need for tutoring. She sent her curriculum vitae to the e-mail stated in the announcement and looking forward to work on. After three days, the person replied to her application and she will start by tomorrow. She was very happy not knowing who would be her boss, she prepared everything for her first day. She went to the address stated in the e-mail, she knocked on the door and wear her sweetest smile to greet the parent of the kid.
