As a weird girl that the only thing knew was to study and to excel academically. She was not that beautiful, she wear big eye glasses and wear dresses looks like an old maid. She was in her third year on her secondary level when she met her first love, Justin Gomez. They became classmates by miracle because for the first time Justin belonged to the section of the smartest students in the campus. She always looked at him frustrated because she knew that a good looking guy like him will not pay attention to her.
One day, Justin approached her "Hello, you are Crissa, right?" he asked
She can't looked at him because she knew that she was ugly, "Yes, do you need something?" she asked nervously
He get his notebook, "I noticed that you understand how the story goes during our Literature class, if you don't mind you can help me to our assignment?" he asked
Even she was very nervous that time, she raised her head and looked to his eyes "Don't fool me, you are here in this class because you are smart" she grinned "And please excuse me" she get her books and left
Justin just looked at her while leaving the room, "Oh my, she playing hard to get" he shook his head "how can I finish my assignment now?" he was very disappointed to what happen.
When her friends was busy to their class work, she went to the library to have advance study to the lessons and even she tried to search everything inclined to her curiosity. She loves literature so much as if it was her love of her life. She always imagined herself to be with her fictional characters, sometimes she wished to be one of the goddess or one of the princess who romantically in love with. There were times that she felt envy to her friends because of their beauty. She always looked to the mirror every time she felt that. Moreover, she was envy with Abigail because she possesses both beauty and brains so that many boys admired her. When the time Abigail got a boyfriend, Crissa very happy for her and thinking to have hers also. Her envy grew more when she knew that Eunice answered yes to the guy who courted her for five months and again she left alone. She always went to the library when her friends have date after class, all she have was being a genius not a beauty that can caught a good looking guy.
Her favorite place aside to the library was a shade on the corner of the campus, she borrowed mythology books and then she read it under the shade of the tree. It was very quiet when Justin approached her again.
He stood in front of her, "Hello, can I sit beside you?" he asked
She just looked at him, "Yes, you can" she collected her books and put down to the another side
Justin open a mythology that one of her favorite, and pretending reading it.
Crissa can't held back, "Are you a lover of that mythology?" she asked him
He looked at her, "Maybe, but I am interested how these gods live and manipulated people who were a mere human" he answered
She looked down when she remember her 6th grade classmate that played like the gods in Greek myth that they always manipulated her to do every favor that they wanted.
He noticed her sadness, "Are you okay?" he asked looking to her face
She was startled; "Yes, I'm fine" she answered blushed then she came back from what she was reading and also Justin.
At that moment Crissa felt special warmth in her heart it's like she was started to be comfortable with him. In class, she tried to be aloof with him because she didn't want to mess with her girls classmates but when the class was over Justin was the one who approached her,
"Wait Crissa" he ran towards her
Crissa suddenly stopped with her head down, "What do you need?" she asked shyly "I don't want to mess with everyone so please leave me alone" she said the she ran away
