Ryan's POV:

"Hey Livy, how was school."

"I'd like to go home now."

"Is Ezra coming? He said he could start today."

She looked behind her and there was a boy walking up to us.

"That's him."

"There you are. I lost ya in the halls. Should I follow you guys there?"

"Yeah sounds good." I said.

Liv got in the car and was looking out of the window.

"I don't wanna do that again."

"I know Bunny."

We pulled up to the house and I helped them get all set up at the kitchen table.

Ezra's POV:

"Ok, I brought some stuff just to see what all we need to cover on grammar and reading comprehension. We'll wait to get to geography and social studies until we have a better handle on the others. It's gonna help all of your classes if we handle those first. Sound good?"

"Ok."

"So here are these. If you get stuck or don't understand something just ask."

"Ok."

She started on the packet I made.

"I-I don't understand this part..I'm sorry."

"Not a sorry thing. What's confusing you?"

I found out she does better with me explaining things vocally.

She's a hands on and auditory learner I think.

We were working for over an hour and I cold tell she was running out of energy.

"Ok, we can be done, but I need to talk to your brother. Do you know where he is?"

"I'll get him. He's outside doing drugs."

"Oh uh ok."

She walked off and I for once took in the fact that I'm tutoring Olivia Finch.

The girl who changed the childhood's of every kid in town.

For weeks we weren't allowed out without an adult.

For Months we weren't allowed out after dark.

Our Mothers are still scared.

"Hey you wanted to check in?"

"Yeah I wanted to make a plan for the schedule. Do you know how often you'd like me to come?"

"What do you think she needs to get caught up?"

"at least twice a week, best would be three times a week, one being on the weekend so she's not so burnt out from school."

"Great let's try three and if it gets too much then we'll adjust. Do you prefer cash or other way?"

"Cash works."

"Sweet."

Ben's POV:

When I got home from school I just laid in bed for like an hour.

just staring at the glow in the dark stars still on my ceiling from my childhood.

Olivia used to be obsessed with them.

She begged her Mom to get them for her for like a year.

Her Mom was weird about putting stuff up on the walls sometimes.

I think it has to do with their family photos.

Their Dad left and he was in a lot of the photo's.

And I thought of Olivia.

I thought she was dead.

Everyone just kind of assumed she was dead and we just couldn't find the body.

But now she's back.

She's back and she's terrified.

"Ben time for dinner." Mom called.

"Coming."

I walked down stairs and sat down for dinner.

"How was school Ben?" Dad asked.

"It was ok."

"It was Olivia's first day today right?" Mom asked.

"Yeah."

"How was her first day? Were you helpful?" Dad asked.

"I tried to be. I walked her to her classes. The halls were pretty overwhelming for her I think."

"Poor thing."

"Maybe we should bring some food over for them. I can check in with Ryan and her when I drop it off."

"That's a good idea."

"Can I go out with friends tonight?"

"Sure just be back by curfew."

"Thanks."

After dinner I went out with Ezra, Caleb, Liam, and Sage.

We just smoked under our favorite bridge.

Caleb did his graffiti.

"So what was it like tutoring Olivia?" I asked.

"Weird man. She's apparently really smart with math and science, but she barely knows anything about english or social studies. and she kept apologizing."

"Damn. It's weird having her back. Kinda like a ghost everyone can see."
