[Name] sits rigidly in their seat on the bus, eyes flickering with a hint of annoyance at anyone who tries to approach them to take the seat next to them. They arrived early, not just to avoid their parents but also to secure the best seat. Their plan worked as no one dared sit next to them.

Despite their attempts at projecting confidence, [Name] can't help but feel a twinge of anticipation at the thought of the upcoming month. They are torn between the excitement of playing soccer and the fear of losing control of their own life.

As they play with the uniform handed to them by the staff, [Name] thinks about the conflicting emotions they feel toward Seijuro. They can't help but question why they are forced to play basketball and if it is just another way to keep them under control. At times, [Name] wishes they could express their anger towards their father and the chains that come with being a part of the basketball world, but deep down they know they will follow in Sejiuro's footsteps if he has something to say about it.

"We are leaving now. Please make sure you are wearing your seatbelts, and welcome to Blue Lock."

(In actuality, Seijuro had the desire to protect [Name] from the same struggles and hardships he had experienced during his time. Unfortunately, it was too late for Seijuro to change the events that have transpired and shaped [Name] into who they are now. The consequences of Seijuro's past actions have had a profound impact on [Name], causing them to be only a fraction of their true self. Regrettably, the mistakes of the past often tend to repeat themselves, and Seijuro is powerless to alter that fact.)

As [Name] leisurely strolled down the long, empty hallway, they hummed a tune to themselves (also questioning why they couldn't wear their shoes, the floor was so cold. Not that they would admit it). They had just changed into their crisp and fresh uniform, making use of one of the many well-appointed bathrooms this prison had to offer.

As they walked, [Name] couldn't help but admire the numbers and letters that were now displayed on their shoulder, symbolizing their association with their team. The uniform felt comfortable on their skin they have to admit.

'299, Z'

Upon closer inspection, they deduce that the numbers and letters are most likely a ranking system. Although they are initially ranked lower than what they desire, they are not discouraged. Instead, they are filled with a sense of determination to improve their ranking through their strength and abilities.

They understand that this is a team sport and their ranking will be closely tied to their team's performance. Therefore, they will have to play house with their team but also watch out for some that would come to play for their plan to break free. With this in mind, [Name] knows that there will be future matches and opportunities to showcase their skills and improve their ranking. The higher they climb, the likelier to find specific chess pieces.

After wandering down the hallway for a while, [Name] finally spotted a gray steel door with a large "Z" prominently displayed on it. They had finally reached their destination.

"Let the game begin, Ego."

As [Name] approaches the gray steel door with the big "Z" on it, the sensor detects their presence and the door smoothly slides open. They confidently step into the spacious gray room, ignoring the chattering of the other players around them as they make their way to a quiet corner and lean against the wall. [Name] glances around the room, evaluating the other players and dismissing most of them as weak. However, their attention is immediately drawn to a player with bright pink hair, who they immediately recognize as Chigiri Hyoma, the fallen star.

They couldn't help but think it would be a bit interesting to find out what happened to Chigri Hyoma. A big star who fell to earth after injuring his knee. But also, the fact that Hyoma could be one of those pieces they are looking for.
