"Yes, that's what I'm referring to."
"I don't mean to be rude, but what's the big deal?" Jin jested, "You're making it sound like it's something big, but really it just sounds like she's a gifted healer." It was clear Jin was trying to lighten the mood, but the alpha continued to watch you steadily and didn't react to Jin's attempts.
"That's because you don't know yet what else she can do." Her voice was low and ominous. Your sense of unease heightened and you started to back away. You could feel slivers of her influence reaching out, probably to force you into compliance. Your breathing became labored as you forced your fear down and fought the compulsion to kneel in front of her. You whimpered as your knees trembled. Jin stood up, standing in front of the alpha to block her line of sight and the probing slivers of influence vanished.
"I'll be taking our omega now," Jin announced. His back was to you, so you couldn't see his face but you could hear the irritation in his voice. He turned his head towards Namjoon, clearly talking through the link before Jin turned to face you. His glare melted into a gentle grin that brushed aside your unease.
"Let's go, little one!" He said cheerily, putting a hand on the small of your back and gently pushing you forward.
Why did he do that? Why did Jin interrupt someone he clearly respected? Why was he so irritated? But he didn't say anything about it.
"The others will be happy that we're going back to the house, they want to spend more time with you!" Jin's voice was chipper, like he was trying to overcompensate for what just happened. You didn't say anything, you just kept your head down as Jin led you through the streets. You didn't want to spend time with the other wolves in his pack, but you didn't want to tell Jin that.
When the paved sidewalk turned into a dirt path, you looked up again. You marveled at all the green grass. You had been too nervous leaving the pack house that you weren't paying too much attention to the things around you.
There were little pups playing together while their mothers watched you two pass by. Jin greeted them, but you turned away out of habit, turning to again look at the large stretches of green grass. You felt the urge to just barefoot, to feel the cold grass bend and give way under your toes.
This village was a beautiful location, nestled in a valley surrounded by trees, oh the trees, you wanted to be in the forest again. Your walk last night, before you ran into your alphas, felt so glorious.
"Let's make some lunch Y/N," Jin said as you approached the pack house. He opened the door and let himself in. You looked forlornly at the outside world before following him in. Besides Jin, the house appeared to be empty. It was quiet besides Jin's bustling as he pulled things out from the fridge. You stood there awkwardly in the kitchen, unsure what to do until Jin noticed you.
"You can have a seat Y/N. Here at the table or in the living room." You chose the living room so you could bunker down in the corner of one of the couches that faced the front door.
Lunch is ready, Jin's voice came through the link. Tae stretched, not bothered that his shirt lifted up exposing his belly. Good, he was ready for a break. Jungkook came up behind him and tugged his shirt down.
"That's mine, you don't get to share that," Jungkook growled in his ear and Tae giggled at the sensation.
Hobi loves it when I show some skin, he likes making other people jealous. Jungkook kissed his neck before turning him around.
"Yeah, well I'm not Hobi! Let's go eat." Jungkook took his hand and started dragging him home. They didn't always go home for lunch, but Taehyung was ready for a break, he hated being cooped up in an office all day. Jungkook being there had helped. They had spent most of the morning going through purchase orders for the next run of supplies. Families could put in orders for different items, but the majority of the purchase orders were for the whole community. It was boring.
"You and Hobi are trouble together," Jungkook continued, "Hobi likes to show off and you like to be shown off."
"I'm not that bad!" Tae pouted even though he knew he was that bad. Jungkook scoffed and let go of his hand in order to wrap an arm around his waist and pull him closer.
"Yeah and I'm a virgin!" They walked the rest of the way in companionable silence. Jin greeted them as he walked in but Jungkook paused at the doorway.
Is her scent still too strong? Tae looked back at him, but he shook his head and came in, closing the door behind him.
No, I think I'll be ok. I think the suppressants are kicking in. He was looking at something in the corner and Tae followed his gaze. Y/N was huddled down in the couch underneath a blanket. She was watching them carefully, following their every move, well more specifically she was watching Jungkook.
He smiled and practically skipped his way over to her, sitting a few feet away from her on the couch. Taehyung decided to give them some time to talk, instead he made his way to Jin, nuzzling into his shoulder blades happily.
"What do you want?" Jin twisted his head to see Tae's pouting face.
"Who says I want anything? I just want to hold my Luna, is there anything wrong with that, huh?" Jin only chuckled in response, continuing with his lunch preparation.
"I thought you said it was done?" Tae teased.
"Yah! If you don't want any, you are more than welcome to walk out the door you ungrateful–" A momentary flare of sadness and anxiety reverberated along the bond. Jin and Tae turned to the source of the disturbance. Jungkook was getting to his feet. He bowed slightly to Y/N, but then turned his back to her and began speed walking to the front door.
Kook, what happened? Jin asked, but Jungkook ignored him, slamming the door behind him.
