When Jin started to lead you inside, you froze and resisted. Her influence was too strong, you didn't want to go into a home coated with her scent, it felt like a death trap.

"Come on Y/N, let's go inside," Jin tried to coax you and you tried to squirm your way out of his hold. He didn't fight it, just let your hand go with a look of concern.

"Too strong," You muttered, looking briefly at the female alpha. Her icy blue eyes were pressing into you, not hostile, but you had a feeling that if the top layer of ice were to crack an unknown current would suck you under and drown you beneath the surface.

"What's too strong?" Namjoon asked, his eyebrows furrowed. Was he angry with you? You just wanted to go back to the spare room and be by yourself. You looked at Jin, pleading with your eyes for him to understand. After a moment his face softened with understanding.

"Alpha Mother, do you mind if we talk outside?" Understanding dawned on the alphas. You looked away embarrassed.

"Come with me around back," The elderly alpha instructed, waving to you all to follow. Her clothes were like her home, neutrals, rough, and worn by age. She silently led you around the back of her modest house there were two outdoor chairs. She sat down in one and Jin waved at you to take the second across from her, but you shook your head. With a tight smile he took the seat. You had a feeling that you were being rude. The elderly alpha was staring at you again and you looked away.

"How are you feeling today Y/N?" Her tone was neutral enough, but for some reason you did not want to answer her, you could not make yourself answer her. You clenched your fists to the side and wished to be anywhere else.

"Y/N, I wanted to talk to you about your healing abilities," The elderly alpha said out loud and your wolf bristled, "Do you know what a Golden Inmul is?" You closed your eyes in dread and you tried to keep them still, but your hands shook slightly.

"I've never heard of that," Namjoon said curiously. You opened your eyes to look at him, he crossed his arms and looked expectantly at the other alpha. His expression was soft, not demanding or greedy. You wondered how long it would stay like that.

"Every healer is a descendant of a Golden Inmul in some form or another. They are also called golmuls for shorts. Long ago, the golmuls were the only healers, but they possessed other gifts as well. Over time, the bloodlines became mixed and the only gifts that survived were healing."

You could feel her looking at you, but you didn't look back. Jin, perhaps sensing your unease, tried to take one of your hands, but you crossed your arms tightly around you.

"It is said that the Moon Goddess will never let them die out completely though, they're needed for balance in this world." You looked at her sharply. That was something you had never heard before. She was watching you carefully, ice blue eyes that were calculating and caging.

What did she mean by balance? What did she mean by 'it is said'? You had been told that golmuls were an ancient group of healers blessed with godlike abilities and potential, but you were living proof that wasn't true.

"Why are you bringing this up?" Namjoon pressed. Her eyes were boring into you and for the first time in a long time you were able to hold an alpha's gaze. You fought so hard against her influence. When she looked at Namjoon you breathed in relief.

"I believe that Y/N may be a golmul and I believe she is aware of that." Namjoon and Jin looked at you expectantly but you didn't answer.

"Why would you think that Alpha Mother?" Namjoon inquired.

"I am one of the most skilled healers that I know, but even I can only heal with my hands. I have never met a healer that could use their whole body."

"You mean when her whole body glowed?" Jin asked for clarity. He looked over at you and gave you a small smile, but you looked away.
