So this is the first chapter, and there's already a small TW
TW: ⚠️ Bullying, maybe violence?
Luz's POV:

My mom made is making me go to this summer camp because I'm "not applying myself". But I am applying myself!
I tried my hardest in the book report, but it just made everything worse.
I get bullied a lot in school and I'm known as the "dummy in the principals office" or the "weirdo". I thought the summer would be different but nope, I have to go to a summer camp where I'm just going to be bullied again.
Mama also wants me to make real friends, not imaginary or reptilian. But I'm good with my imaginary friends!
Mom just left for work and the bus is almost here.. I'm already dreading this.

The bus ride to the camp was torture. Everyone was yelling and throwing garbage around, and everyone made fun of me, especially the jocks.
Well, everyone was making fun of me except for this girl with green dyed hair. She was being bullied also, what jerks!

When I got there, I was greeted by some old lady wearing a "Bad Girl Coven" t-shirt, haha I love that. Her name was Eda and she had this little dog named King. She sent me to the Owl House for my camp. Huh, why owls..?
When I got to my camp I saw that green-haired girl again, thank god I don't have to deal with anyone mean
"Oh my god! Are you putting up a Azura poster?" I exclaimed
Dang it Luz, that's a bad start! She's gonna find you weird now!
"Huh? Oh! You're my roommate right? You like Azura also? I've never seen anyone who's liked it"The green-haired girl, still need her name, asked.
"Yeah! Oh and my names Luz! What's your name?" I asked
"My name is Amity." The girl said
"ATTENTION ALL CAMPERS! PLEASE REPORT TO THE CAFETERIA IMMEDIATELY"
"Huh, wonder what that's all about. We should probably go check that out now." I suggested

"So welcome to this camp, here are some ground rules, no stealing, killing, basically don't do anything illegal, at least when adults are around, blah blah blah. Anyways you guys are dismissed for lunch. Don't let my dog King eat your food. He does that sometimes you know." Eda explained. I really need to know her

"Should we go get lunch now?" Amity asked
"Yeah, let's go!" I exclaimed

Amity's POV:
Well I thought moving to this small town across the country in my old town but it doesn't seem to bad!
Other than the excessive homophobia, which is one of the main reasons we moved across the country, I met this girl named Luz who likes Azura also!
She's also kind of pretty, NO AMITY! Don't think that! She's probably straight and when she finds out I'm lesbian she might leave me, maybe no one else should know..
"Okay you guys are dismissed for lunch!" The old lady exclaimed, was I really caught up in my own thoughts for that long? Whatever..
"Should we go get lunch now?" I asked
"Yeah, let's go!" Luz exclaimed and punched the air while jumping
Her enthusiasm is so cute.. NO AMITY NO! This is your first day meeting her, you don't have a crush on her already.. right?
*Snap x2*
"Huh?" I yelped
"Oh sorry sorry sorry! It looked like you were spacing out for a second!" Luz explained
"Oh it's okay, thanks for that" I sighed
"Anyways, we're here! What do you want for lunch?" She asked
"Oh, whatever's available works for me" I said

Me and Luz just sat down at a random table, nothing special served today, just either cheeseburgers or pizza.. Luz got a slice of cheese pizza and a cookie. I got the same thing.
"Hey, this pizza is surprisingly good for school pizza!" Luz exclaimed
"Yeah it i-" I got cut off by.. barking? There's a dog here?
"King, you mutt get back here!" That old lady chased after the dog who jumped on my lap.. why me?
"Ha! Sorry nerds, this little rascal got away from me, my name is Eda and this is King, oh hey I saw you before, not you though. What's your name green-hair?" Eda asked
"Uhm, my names Amity" I introduced myself
"Okay, also wanted to tell you we're about to start an activity sometime soon, see you nerds later BYEEE!" Eda yelled while being literally pulled by King
"Well, she's quite the.. character.." I said
"Yeah, I like her spirit though!" Luz giggled
"ALL CAMPERS REPORT TO THE FIELD TO PLAY A GAME"

Luz's POV:
Amity and I went to the field to play a game. I wonder what kind of game we're going to play..
"Alright everyone, this game is about teamwork! We're going to play tug of war! Which ever team falls into the mud loses, alright pick your teams, will give you 30 seconds!" Eda yelled
Me and Amity obviously picked each other for a team but we chose a random team together.
"Why would we want a freak on our team, let's go to the other team" two jocks said while laughing.
"Hey don't let them get to your head, that's their fault that they hate you for you being you!" Amity reassured me
"Yeah, thanks Amity" I said
"OKAY 30 SECONDS UP AND GAME STARTS NOW!" Eda whistled
Amity was leading this team, dang she's strong.. LUZ NO! Don't think like that! She probably is straight and would call you a freak if she found out that you're bi like the others do! No!No! Don't think about this now!
"LUZ!"
"AH!"
WHAT?
"TEAM _______ WINS!"
"Way to go freak we lost cause of you!" Some person yelled as everyone started laughing
"Hey guys watch this!" Someone yelled as someone punched me in the gut
"OUCH, jeez what was that for it's just a game!" I yelled
"LUZ! Back away from her!" Amity yelled
"Oh wanna join her green-hair?" The person who punched me yells
"Luz cmon these jerks aren't worth our time."Amity says while practically dragging me
"H-huh?" I mumbled while starting to catch up to her

None of us said a word til we reached our cabin
We reached our cabin and when we went inside I said
"Amity I'm so sorry"
"Why are you apologizing?" Amity asked
"For messing us up?" I said
"Luz, it really doesn't matter. It's just a game, those people weren't very well at teamwork either so it doesn't matter. Anyways, it's pretty late we should be heading off to bed." Amity suggested
"Yeah that sounds good, I'm pretty tired so that might help. Good night Amity see you in the morning?" I yawned
"Yeah, good night Luz." Amity said while turning off her lamp, I did that shortly after her

Sorry if this is a bad chapter, I'm not to skilled at writing so it's hard to come up with ideas for story writing or fanfics lol, so i hope you enjoyed!
most likely going to make the next chapter tomorrow because of bad weather and being stuck inside lol ( boo winter 😡😡 )
