Chapter 4

Ansh's POV

No one should face this kind of situation and I mean no one..

I came out of my gaga land when she giggled and told something to the girl who came out from back of the store with a smirk on her face...

Clearly she must be bragging about how one more guy fell in for her looks I mean that's what girls do right!?
when the other staff went back inside..
I decided to not stare anymore..

"Umm..mm"
She looked at me in my eyes with a beautiful smile
"What can I help with you sir!?"
"ANSH!"

Oh common why not let a girl know my name..

"Ok .. so what can I get for you Ansh??"
She said with a bit pause while gulping the lump in her throat..

" My regular please.. "
" Mmm and what is your regular??"

What she doesn't know me or something? How can this be possible??

"Mm the take out of bread crumps a bit roasted and salted and do that 2 please!!"

She thought I was joking and was uncertain..
"Mmm ok sureeee.. anything else?? We have freshly baked croissants , brioche, challah , ciabatta and  Cornbread."
"No I don't have those!! Thank you!!"

She bobbed her head like mentally taking down notes
And whispered to herself which I heard
"I don't have those and all this pillar has is bread crumps no wonder he looks like a pile of those!!"

I ignored her collected the packet and turned out for the exit

"Excuse me Prince of your thoughts who will pay??"

"Are you new here??"
" No I have been here from last few months "
"And still you are asking for money??"
"Ofcourse I will it goes that way only you ask for something you pay for it and have it !"

I didn't want to argue with her saying I had invested in this bakery and as return I took just bread crumps for my friends nothing more ..

"Mm ok how much .. how much should I pay??"
"250 bucks!!"
She took out her hand

I didn't have money on me now cause who pays with cash when you can swipe a card on scan QR code

I took out my card and gave her ..

She blinked few times seeing my metal card ..
" I want cash what should I do with your card??"
"Well you know you have to get a machine and swipe it! It works like that !"

I can clearly see I was having my impact on her she was irritated and mumbled something after swiping the card and returning it to me

" Have a good night .. and may you catch cramps after eating those crumps"
She mumbled the last part slowly
" Thank you "

I walked out and started whistling loudly while tossing my suit in the car with my tie I folded my cufflinks and kept the watch in my pocket put on my black face mask dumped the take out in my bag pack ..
I walked to the lane next by the bakery  which led to the lake nearby

And as expected they came to meet me ..

All running and panting while wiggling their tails ..
They started rubbing themselves on me smacking their tongue on their faces trying to get my attention

"Oh how y'all are doing??"
"Your hungry??"
" Yeahh yeahh I have got lots of crumps for y'all !!"
I sat on the ground and started petting them ..
" How was your day Kiara??"
She whinned and nuzzled in my palm
"Sid gave you attention??"

Take the name of the devil and he arrives , he pounced on me from behind
" You cheeky bastard got your bitch huh??"

After feeding and playing with them I took out my cigarettes and lit one ...
Took a drag and started thinking about my life...
When I heard a camera click

I sighed on my fate that I can't even have a cigarette with peace...
And then a cunning idea came in my mind ..
I searched my bagpack and took out a joint ..

Why not give a show to the audience..
I lit the joint and took few puffs ..
" Never knew you are so bold to have a joint on the way back home!"

"How did you get my location??"
" You forgot I have the same work as you .. I do the same shit as you.. and we keep tag on our buddy !!"
"I ain't your buddy .. Harsh is!"
" You are accept it or not."
" I won't!!"
" You were never alone .. you'll never be alone .. keep that in mind.. it was not your fault.. it will never be your fault!!"

He snatched the joint from my hand and took a puff
I sighed and wondered what wrong I did that day ...
And after we finished the joint we both went our way ..

I got back in my car threw the bagpack in backseat and noticed the waitress taking glances at my direction..
I sat in my car while I opened the notification on my WhatsApp where he sent me the pic he took just now ..

Time to update my insta account..
