Jungwon's POV
It is the next morning and I am making myself some coffee, I hear a door open and see Y/n walk out with a small smile that hid her lips "Good morning" She says "Good morning" I say looking down at my coffee feeling embarrassed and awkward
"Um how's your leg?" She asked "Definitely still hers when I walk but I'm choosing to ignore it, definitely bruising too" I said and she nodded
"Um, about last night..." She started making my heart beat faster in nervousness "Im sorry, I was upset and vulnerable, I didn't mean for it to go anywhere and I just really don't want it to be awkward between us" She said surprising me a bit
"It's okay, really, I understand, I was a little tired and out of it too, and we technically didn't do anything, just a hug, right?" I said with a smile and small laugh to lighten the mood "Right" She said with a smile
The same smile she gave me before but this time it felt different, I don't know why but it made me feel warm inside seeing her smile, I hated that...
"What's for breakfast!" Jay said walking in with his pajamas still on and messy bed hair "Well agent, I never thought that I'd see you in teddy bear pajamas" Y/n said "We'll we're basically living together right now so get used to it" He said making Y/n and I laugh as he pulled the orange juice out the fridge
"Also Wonnie, the boss wants you" Jay said "Wonnie?" Y/n asked looking at Jay and then me and back to Jay, I got embarrassed after hearing her say it "Yeah, that's his nickname, we always tease him with it cause he thinks its childish but he's younger so he's gonna deal with it" Jay said with a laugh as Y/n did as well
I just rolled my eyes and sighed taking a sip of my coffee "What does the boss want?" I asked, "I don't know, he just said he wants you at his office to talk about something, he said that you could eat first and it wasn't urgent but it is important so..."
"I'm leaving then" I said and grabbed my keys and heading to the door to leave the awkward atmosphere that made me embarrassed
"Bye Wonnie!" Jay called to me in a mocking way as I opened the door and closed it behind me

Author's POV
Y/n took a sip of the coffee Jungwon had already made for her before he left, Jay opened the fridge to look inside "So y'all hugged last night and didn't invite me, could have been a group hug" Jay said making Y/n choke which he left at since he was just joking expecting her to be surprised
"You heard?" She said "Yeah, I was gonna just walk in but I got curious and continued to ease drop" "Oh" She said and they both took a sip of their coffee in silence

Jungwon was sitting in the directors office waiting for him since he had to leave for a minute, the door opened suddenly
"Oh won, your here already, sorry about that, different case" The director said as Jungwon stood up and bowed to him
They both sat down
"I wanted to check up on you, if you guys have gotten anywhere close to a lead, need anything? I know this would be going much faster and easier if half our witnesses and suspects weren't deceased...sorry"
"It's fine, yeah, it would be easier, we're thinking about going to the school that Maeri is at and getting more of what she knows about" Jungwon said and the director nodded
"Good luck, keep me in the loop" "Of course" Jungwon said standing up, he bowed and then left with a deep breath
He felt like he wasn't getting anywhere

Jungwon and Jay are currently at the school Maeri goes too while Y/n is still at the penthouse
"This is a big ass school..." Jay said taking it all in as Jungwon hit his shoulder to keep walking
They went to the front office "Hello ma'am, Agent Yang Jungwon and this is my partner Agent Park Jay" Jungwon said and she smiled at him and then saw Jay and her smile looked more flirtatious
"Hello, how can I help?" She said towards Jay, 'are you serious?' Jungwon thought to himself
"We're looking for someone, Kim Maeri, we'd like to talk to her" Jay said leaning on the counter with a smile making Jungwon roll his eyes
"Of course one second" She said with a smile and he nodded getting off the counter, facing Jungwon's disappointed look causing him to shrug and mouth 'What?'
"She's in room 1216 right now, Ill call her down" The lady said so they waited for her to come down
A few minutes went by and she turned the corner with a slight smile and curious look, she immediately stopped and her smile dropped as she saw them standing there, they didn't see her yet, she took a deep breath before walking up to them
"Excuse me?" She said and they both turned
"Kim Maeri?" They asked and she nodded "Can you step outside with us for a minute?" Jay asked and she nodded following them out

Maeri's heart rate was increasing, she was so nervous, she didn't have anything to hide, right?
The pressure of two agents wanted to ask you questions is nerve racking
"We get you are nervous, we aren't accusing you of anything yet, we just want to know what the situation is between you and Mr. Gam" Jungwon said being able to read her like a book, he could tell she was really nervous and she seemed innocent
Maeri nodded and cleared her throat
"I was supposed to visit him everyday after school and make sure he takes his medicine at 8:00pm, an hour after school ends, that's what I've been doing, until about a week ago when he said I didn't need to come anymore, he had someone else" "Gyeongja?" Jay asked and Maeri nodded
"I've never seen her, only heard of her name from him, is everything ok?" She asked
"I'm sorry, Mr. Gam was murdered weeks ago" Jungwon said and Maeri grasped covering her mouth "You don't know who did it yet?" She asked "That's why we're here" he said and she shook her head
"I didn't do it" She said, she looked so scared "It's ok, where not accusing you, do you know any reason why she was there?" Jay asked and she nodded
"I've never seen her cause it was on my way out and I was too scared to turn around so I just left quietly but that day that he told me, she was there, as I was leaving I heard the talking, they said something about Mr. Han and a Daejin? I don't know who they are"
Jungwon nodded "Is that all?" "Um, they were talking about getting there first, I don't know where, um, yeah, I can't remember anything else" She said and they nodded
"Thank you, be on alert in case we need you again, we'll contact you when we find out who's responsable" He said and she nodded "Thank you"
They bowed to each other and watched as she made it back into the school, they then headed to the car
"Mr. Han and Daejin, again..." Jay brought up making Jungwon nervous for Y/n
