C H A P T E R 30

I looked at her. Like really look at her. "So you want us, to arrest your friend, because she's gossiping about you ?"

"Yes. It's called defamation of character." She replied. I really wonder who taught her those words. "She'll literally be so embarrassed when I sue her."

"Did you happen to see any police officers around when you came in ?" I asked her as I laid back on the chair.

"Yes, they told me I should talk to whoever is behind the desk."

"Yeah go back and pick one of them, anyone you like, to help you file your case Dodo." Because I'm not doing it, I literally won't. I swear I've never been this bored in my life.

"But they said you'd-"

"Yeah I'm not doing that." I interrupted her. "We aren't supposed to arrest people because they are gossiping. Why don't you go open a lawsuit against your friend or something." I told her with a bored expression.

"What's a law suit ?" She asked confusedly. Beauty with no brains.

"Find an officer to explain that would you ?" I faked a smile.

"Okay. Byee! " She smiled and waved as she walked out.
There's no worser job than being a cop.

I sighed as I opened my phone and activated the bug in Kenny's watch. I took out my earpods and put them on.

".. the attorney asked me for the evidence we found at the crime scene so I'm going to the safe house get it." Kenny said to someone.

"I'll come with you." I heard the voice that sounded like Jake's said.

I soon heard shuffling and footsteps and doors closing.

Kenny said a safe house.
Kenny said evidence.
They are going to a safe house where they keep evidence.
He said the safe house. Which only means that there's one safe house.
Which only means one thing :
The location of the flash drive is the Safe house. The flash drive is stored in safe house and Kenny and Jake are headed there.

I took out my phone and dialled Maddie's number. "Hey Madds can you track the location of a phone with the cell phone number ?" I asked her immediately after she answered.

"Yeah, but only if it's switched on. Give me the cell number." She said and she opened a door in the background. She must be going inside her tracker room/office.

"4990865531." I told her Kenny's number. I memorized it so I didn't need to go to my contacts.

I heard Maddie typing and a minute later she told me she got it. "I sent you a link, it has the current location and the movements of the phone holder." She said and my phone dinged immediately.

"Thanks Madds, love you." I said as I hung up. I went to my messages and found Maddie's text. I clicked on the link she sent me, it loaded for a few seconds until it opened. A map of Mayville flashed into my screen and I immidietly zoomed in. I saw a red dot that was moving and a blue dot in one place. The blue dot indicated my current location and the red one was Kenny's.

The red dot moved for about fifteen more minutes before it stopped. It stopped at a place called Newtown square. It was atleast an hour from Kenny's apartment. The dot stopped there for a long time, which means they'd arrived at their destination. I zoomed in and found the building's name, MPSH. Mayville Police SafeHouse.

I found the location of the flash drive. I know where the flash drive is. I could finish my mission a week early before my deadline.

I know the building is heavily secured with a security system that's impossible to break in to. But I know that with my capabilities and skills, I could easily get in, get the flash drive and get out.

But I won't.

I won't even go near the building or the flash drive. Getting the flash drive will cost Kenny his life. If I get the flash drive then my dad won't have a reason to keep him alive. If I take the flash drive, Kenny will be killed. I'd rather fail my mission if it means saving his life. Any other gang can find the flash drive for all I care but what I know is that I'm not putting his life in danger by taking the drive.

My dad can be ruthless when he feels threatened and now, he sees Kenny as a threat. He'll stop at nothing to make sure Kenny dies. But his hands will tied if we don't find the flash drive. He'll never kill Kenny unless we find it. Kenny is still valuable to him as long as he has the drive in his possession.

He'll even protect him because he wants to protect the flash drive. Only Kenny knows where the flash drive is so, Kenny is his only access to becoming more powerful than ever. Kenny is his access to becoming a hundred times richer. Kenny is his access to growing his gang into a mafia.

I'll just have to make sure that Kenny continues to hold such value to my dad until I find another way to save him.
